Have you used the DI out of the B7k, what is your take on it if you have?

No I haven't yet. Mainly just gonna use as a on demand dirt pedal, but having the eq section to really dial in a great effect on that makes it so awesome . The DI part is just for back up if I had head issues during a show basically my back up head... I like the fact of the parallel out too in case I want to run a dirt head and cab and a clean head and cab at the same time .... Options galore :hyper:

This is the same way I use my Tone Hammer pedal. Added to my B3K I have to killer distorted tones at the touch of my foot. :bassist:

I know Spector recommends the Dunlop products for their basses but...

Has anyone tried the products from Zymol? GBC#, GBCb, and Bridge. I was wondering how well they worked. The stuff's not cheap so was hoping for some info before I spend the money.

I know others on TB have talked about it but I wanted to hear from the Spector players.

Thanks!

Sounds like a great pedal, is it loaded with tubes or just a tube simulation? I also run DI out of the amp and at times I get a grounding hum if the building isn't wired right, it would be great to have a second option or run them both to the board if the B7k provides different DI sound options.

No ground lift on your amp's DI out?

Just the switch for the amp and not individual to the DI, had a problem at one local club and had to run my electric around the room until I found another breaker...told them to get an electrician to check that out before they had a short and or fire....

One thing you could do is make a short mic cable and disconnect the ground wire. Same effect. Then keep it around for when needed. Just pop it into the DI out and plug the PA into it.

Tube simulation. I was getting that mike inez tone from the new song Stone too. I was loving it

NBD is today! New Rex5 made it safe and sound from NY, had the UPS people hold it so it didn't spend another day bouncing around a truck only to fall victim to another "attempted delivery". Picked it up on my way to work this morning, sitting in my office awaiting the end of the work day:D pics to come tonight

YAY! So glad it got to you safe! Especially after the misfire that was before. Grats!

Excuse the double post, but I just swapped out the knobs on my Euro. I think this is much more classy :)

It's honestly a little weird to me how Spector can make such insanely good quality basses but put these cheap feeling plastic knobs on them. But it's a thing of tradition, I like them but.. If they were metal I'd have kept them on.

I understand what you mean. I don't mind them, I think its more tradition than anything. But i do love the metal knobs on my NS2A and NS2000/5

FYI She's coming home

NICE! I'm glad she will be coming into the Club fold. :D That really is a great price. As usual, GC has no idea what to do with Spector.

great price. They had no idea, but they were nice and shipping reasonable. I'm wicked excited to get it. My guitarist Brian (Spector Artist) is pissed cause he didn't have the money to buy it ;)
