ditto but there on the used market from anywhere of 325.00 to 350.00. I traded my 3 and a hundy for the 7 and I'm glad I did. IMO the best dirt DI pedal out there for live set ups.

Hey, if it gives you the sound you want then great! Will most likely try one out one day. I use dirt/grit on my bass only once in a while. I heard the sample on the Darkglass website for the Driven Amp setting on the B3K and I really liked that so that's what sold me on the 3.

That and the $120 difference. :ninja: But you know, never say never. :D

It's honestly a little weird to me how Spector can make such insanely good quality basses but put these cheap feeling plastic knobs on them. But it's a thing of tradition, I like them but.. If they were metal I'd have kept them on.
I actually like the EMG style plastic push on, white dot knobs. They came on my Steinberger L2 in my pre Spector days and I got used to them. Anytime I've received a (used) Spector with anything else, I've always put the EMG ones on.
Also, even though I prefer gold hardware most of the time (on Spectors), I hate gold knobs as they seem to scream "Cheap import bass trying to look not cheap!" because so many cheap imports do use them.

As you can see in this pic , I too thought it needed more chrome especially the knob controls :ninja: I added little white stripes to them to let me know where they are set during performances just in case I bump em.
