Hate to get of her,but I gotta :crying: Hit me up!

Just got my Spector Legend 6 from Mark of Scale the Summit, and boy this is a fine beast of a bass!

The EMG-JX pickups he got installed are pretty nice, I think the bridge pickup soloed is way too tinny, but blended together and the neck pickup solo sound great!

The EMG BQC is great, the mid sweep lets me get my tone in seconds (what are bass and treble again? :D ) and the bass is in AMAZING shape for having been on at least 2 full US tours, you'd swear it was new if it weren't for the Spector hardshell case looking a bit beat up from the travel! (Also I had no idea they made such nice cases for the Legend basses!)

I will get pictures up whenever I can stop playing it to put it down (so maybe tomorrow) but man I love New Bass Day! (especially when it is New Spector Day!)

I actually ended up ordering 3 basses for stock today, instead of 2.

#1 - is a killer piece of buckeye burl. Love the dark look and all the figure.

This will be high gloss w/ a dark pau ferro fingerboard, thin neck (front to back), Schaller strap buttons, Spector 9volt preamp, EMG P&J pickups.

#2 - Quilted maple top/Redwood back. This is something new Stuart just started doing and is suppose to help with the weight and still have that Spector tone.

OH MY!!! That Buckeye is GORGEOUS!!!!!! I am also curious to see how the Ultraviolet Coda turns out as I am thinking about ordering a Coda 5LX with that color and BEM board!

Todd, I've got to say you have some of the best taste in color combos and wood choice!! The basses I've seen you have a hand in designing have all been on another level of amazing!

Thanks Brad. I have had a lot of practice at it and I must say, it's a lot of fun!!!!

I think I'm as excited as the customer to see the results of a new build. These basses are like works of art.

It's here!

Couple of crappy cell pics for now - gotta jump on a Skype interview for ProgPower before I can play with it.

My first impression is, it's lighter in color than I thought it would look in person, especially based on the pre-gloss pics I saw plus the other photographed UV basses. It definitely seems to look different in different light. Perhaps Todd or Torn or Patrick can tell me their experiences with how they look in person via photography. It looks a darker in these pics than it does in person to me.

Then again, my black cherry has a different look than in the pics too so I think that's just how they photograph.

Thing feels great - I like the feel of the BEM quite a bit between this and the Coda 5XL. Now I gotta plug it in in a couple hours and here the 9v with this 40P5 and 40J. :bassist:

Wowzers!!!!! That is beautiful!

I think a lot of the colors have so many different looks depending on lighting. There are also many shades of maple, so they take the stain differently. I have seen 2 basses with the same finish done on the same day that did not look identical when done because of this.

Man, enjoy your new baby!!!

Indeed! I have a good time just playing around with different build ideas in my head, but actually having the ability to see them come to life and pass them on to new owners who are equally as excited has to be a blast!
