Congrats!

One of the coolest Euros out there. Love the no inlay look with the black hardware & spalty goodness.... :bassist:

Oh so you got that one! Nice!!!

Man!?! Now I'll have to wait until tomorrow to show the pics of my new one.

jk

Enjoy that gorgeous Euro!!!

Congratulations. That is one beautiful Euro. No inlays, spalted top and a Wimbish neck = perfection.

Looks 'wickish.....without the inlays......now please don't blast me.....wasn't comparing them just looking at aesthetics.....lol
And yes.....its purdy too! :-)

my next spector has to have spalted maple... i cant do a lot of the burl stuff but spalted wood just seems to look great.

awesome looking bass ynot12!

Congratulations ynot! A beauty!

Awesome! Glad it stayed in the family!!! That's gotta be one of my all time favorite Euros!

Yeah...Spalt can be alright I guess... :hiding:

Thanks guys!!!!

As soon as I sold my NS-4H2, I was getting ready to pay the big bill and then the Forte 4 and this bass came up. I couldn't resist either one, and I still have time to get that bill paid, so I just gave into SAS and bought this Spalted beauty. So glad I did. Always wanted to try a Wimbish neck and have loved Brad's splat, I figured I should just go for it. After playing it tonight - WOW - everything I could have hoped for. :D

What's cool is it's not olny Spalted, but flamed, too. Badass looking in person!

It's build quality is on par with the US. I'm guessing that this special order may have been handled by the A team in the Czech shop. It's no nice.

I just have to decide if I want to keep the tone pump or go for the OPB-3 that I loved so much. It'll one pricey Euro!

Did I say I'd wait until tomorrow for pics? I lied. :p
This just arrived from brotherbassj I'm letting it adjust to the new environment and then I'll start playing it. But I can't wait until tomorrow night for rehearsal. Then I can really hear it.

Here's a quick cell phone pic out in the front yard in the setting sun.

I said it before and I'll say it again. I haven't been a big fan of the matte finish but this baby it beautiful.
Better pics to follow.

Looks killer. Congrats. It's basically an NS-4, isn't it?

Basically yes. Thanks. Thing is though, the pups are in slightly different positions and so will yield a little different tone. Plus the fact that the NS-4 has solid maple wings (standard) and this is layered maple/walnut/alder. All this in a package that is reminiscent of the Forte4. And finally, a black bass that won't show fingerprints. :hyper:

I'll post some pics that really show off the quilted maple as soon as I get a chance.

What the hell is going on with that neck? There's no way that would pass QA, even before he fudged with it.

He must have gotten hungry and bit off a piece or two. Looks like a partially snapped headstock that had an amateur repair job. My Performer has some ugliness right at the base of the headstock, apparently from a wall hanger, but this is just awful.

thanks for all the kind words! If you're in the Nashville area and want a tattoo, I know the guy for ya!

It turns out that he is/was/always will be a bass player who actually knew a lot about Spectors and their history! He was a cool dude to talk to and a great artist!

Mike, now that you mention it, it would make a sweet strap! ...hmmmm... :D

Aaaanndd here she is. Spector NS2000/4. She's got the feel and sound of my old friend Amber, the NS2000/5 I had to sell from weight issues, but a few pounds lighter. Not heavy at all...except in a sonic goodness way. Thanks Rebopmass....LOVE IT! I shall call her Sarah.

Glad u enjoyed it. Told ya was in really good shape. Still stunned that its not heavy. My blue one is much lighter. Glad I scored that one. The Emg Hzs go well with the Korean Emg or whatever they call it. I put one in my Rebop now it has great low end. Glad it went to a home where its appreciated.

I think tone wise its underrated. More bottom end than my euro but ive just about dialed that in. Now on to my next Spector deal. And work on my first frankenfender. Also first gig with Euro tonight.
