supply and demand, but also I think it is because Fender is Fender. Everyone knows Fender. Spector is a players brand, its not as well known and its not quite boutique. Also when a Spector player sells a bass, it is usually because they are having a SAS attack... which in turn means we sell our gear for less. just my opinion.

From what I see and mostly from people I know that sell they have another Spector that they have to have yesterday and are willing to take a larger loss than wait a little while for the right person to come along. I have seen them sell just as well at higher realistic prices as well as the unvalued prices. Also seen them sell for more than what they should be worth. I have watched friends sit on a bass for a couple months before finally moving it. My buddy works at a music store and he sells 400$ basses all day and moves a high end bass or guitar every now and then. The hype is justified with these basses. SAS kills the market and most are lurking for you to cut your price because that's the norm, even on the other basses you mentioned.

After counting the days, look what just made it to my bench. Hello Spalty! :bassist:

Got some Queensryche jammin', putting on some Fat Beams and hope to let her rip for a while before I have to go tonight. Curtis, you are the man, thanks again!

I think another part of it is the pickups. I love the EMG sound, but it would seem (and I'm guessing) that when someone is just getting into bass, they've heard of a Precision, and they've heard of a jazz. So they are more likely to just grab a P bass or J bass from the brand they are familiar with, rather than go for the dual coils Spector makes. They do also make instruments with those pickups, but not as many, I don't think.

Please understand that I have absolutely no evidence for these statements and in no way whatsoever guarantee their accuracy. :D

Congratulations. That is one beautiful Euro. No inlays, spalted top and a Wimbish neck = perfection.

As for the 2x10 mini cab, you can buy them separately anywhere that carries them. They're actually priced individually, but usually sold in pairs.

Yeah I suppose that's not fair to the little guy, but still, compared to the tube V4B, it's got nothin left :D

People are in such a hurry to sell and fund a new purchase (or pay bills) that they'll take the loss in exchange for a quick sell.
Fenders are like stamps. I am sure there are philatelists that have spent $1200 on a rare postage stamp. I would shake my head at such a purchase and wonder why. I feel the same way about Fender basses.

Hey brothers . Update on the aggie 112 . Talked with an aggie tech (awesome support) they had me do a couple test on the speaker of the cab in question and it is determined that woofer is blown or that the voice coil magnet had shifted in shipping from being dropped. Either way the seller ( super guy ) by the way . Called me after I told him what the tech told me and said he had already order a replacement from aguilar and should be on my door step Monday. That's what I love about Talk bass , you'll never find that on ebay or craigslist . Outstanding ....anywho thanks fellas for the help and SPECTOR ON !
