I admit- I'm addicted to the mids- especially upper. YMMV as the saying goes... :)

I had mixed feelings (and results) regarding the EMG pre. It sounded great at home through my SWR Baby Blue II combo, but the mids & highs were a bit too brittle when played through my Phil Jones big rig, and no amount of EQ tweaking would alleviate it. :bawl:
I'm hoping the trim pump will work nicely in my Euro, and if it doesn't, I guess I'll just have to make do with my NS-2 and NS-4.
:D

Noooooo....don't give in:ninja: What you have sounds awesome:bassist: I love the floor vibes of a great 18". Everyone feels it! :D We have one on our church stage...love it when the right SB tech likes turning it up more when I'm playing. Wonderful Spector magic happens!:bassist: :bassist::bassist::bassist::bassist::D
I guess your right, kind of like messing with perfection!
Congratulations brother cyclops! :hyper:

Thanks...it's great to feel soooo much better after 3 years too. :) I was starting to be that grumpy old man on the porch...telling the young whipper snappers to "get off my lawn"! Lol ;) :D
LOL...tooooo funny!
No worries Grasshopper...I will teach you everything there is to know about multi quoting. ;)
LOL
Cool...Thanks :)

Ah...a custom order cab...costly I suppose? I like that its ported too. I bet it makes your pants flap, eh! :D Thanks Lee

The speakers look bigger than 15" in the picture!

well mine is more like your NS2A mine is rounded .. I can not say enough about this NS2A it is just plain AWESOME..:bassist:

The later model NS2A I seen at the swap meet had a small volute and was the first time I noticed that milling on these basses, it also had a different style Spector case with it...the fella wanted $800 and I think I made him mad when I offered $550!

My third so far. I had an NS2000/5 that was just too heavy for me at that point in time and the 5th string kept confusing me. That was in my first year of playing so I had to simplify. I've been looking for an NS2000/4 ever since. Right now I have a Performer Deluxe, which is super awesome and has done more than tide me over in the meantime. Love Spectors. I especially love the fact that their lower cost stuff in my price range is still super high quality.
Awesome! I had an amazing gloss black NS-2000/5 that I traded worshiprocker earlier this year. I loved playing it, I was able to setup the string height so low you'd think they're laying on the fingerboard. Such an easy player! I swapped the btc pre for a Haz copy, WOW, what a difference! But the string spacing was closer together than my Coda 5XL and I didn't like going back and forth because of the string spacing so it sat in the case. Spectors lower priced basses are amazing for sure.
HUMMM...wonder what these would sound like on my fretless???
I bet they'd sound KILLER! :bassist: I just ordered another set this morning from BSO! They didn't have any singles, plus I figured what the heck these I have on now are over 1 year old and have use on them, might as well get a fresh set. AND, you can't beat his prices! Order a set Torn, you'll not be disappointed. IMHO :D

That is an amazing looking Performer! I love that black hardware on Tobacco Burst. :bassist:

I'm not sure, like I said, I'm really not wanting to sell, I just may have to move something. The Rex 5 is actually only 2 months old, I looked and it was delivered June 28. If I can't get $800 for the Rex I won't sell it, they are $1200.00 new, and I'm not going to fire sale it, and contribute to the devaluation of the used market for Spector basses.

Hey guys,
I've decided not to sell anything. I'll bite the bullet and just ride out this little hiccup with the dental bills.
I've been down this road before and regretted selling every bass or amp I got rid of in haste, and don't need to add to any list of regrets I already have.

Well trouble in paradise . I just plugged in and the cab with the tweeter sounds blown or overdriven . The nt speaker works fine . I'm freaking out here . I've double checked everything and tried both my gk mb8 and mesa m9 and the same result . I checked the ohmmage switches too. Any help would awesome :(
