Anyone know how long it takes Spector sales to respond to emails?
I sent them an inquiry about a Rebop 5 truss rod and nut 3 days ago, and haven't heard anything yet. :S

They're usually super fast with email responses. Perhaps the shop is closed already this week for the Labor Day holiday? I hope you hear back from them soon, I'm sure you will.

Yes, this. Also, get some of that graphite nut powder or "nut sauce" to help with any stiction the brass nut may have against the strings.

Dave Borisoff explains near the end of this video the technique:

You have to tune the E slightly flat. Then drop and return the lever a couple times to take out any slack. E should be in tune and then drop and tune the drop note with the adjustment screw.

+1 on the graphite powder. Usually I don't have a problem. But if I do I can grab the string with my thumb & 1st finger (pull outward) and just snap it to get it back if it's a little sharp. But sometimes I use mine a few times in the middle of songs and that's not really an option. I've also heard if you have too many turns of the string in the tuner peg that can contribute to the string returning a little flat, but I've never really confirmed this.

ID love the M9 just cant afford it HAHA.. the SVT 7 i have is great head too .. just wanted something different and WOW im blown away with the B1500... couldnt beat the price either for that much power..

The B1500 is exactly what you need in your new band....the one with Ed and Jon....congrats on that gig btw...... you need thebpower to get past those nasty guitars.

For the record....Lee and I have a standing joke....he got the TH 500 because I had it first....it wasn't my tone....he knows I like big round clean fundamental with tons of headroom. So he said...if Jamie doesn't like it....I know ill probably love it! Hahaha. Lee likes mids with a lot of grind. The tone hammer does that job well.

To me....I am less worried about size and weight.....I like the mb800 a touch more. I never thought I would ever replace my B1500 or Thunderfunk 550B with it but the Mesa M6 just works well with cast frame woofers...12's or 15's. I haven't played 10's in years.

One thing Lee, Coop and I all do share is a love for the new 15's. They just do it.

I'm done with all the crazy gear selling trading and swapping I used to do. I'm finally content with the equipment I have. It has taken many years and thousands of dollars exchanging hands....lol.

I will say Aguilar onboard pres rock.....their cabinets rock.....I like the older ag500 the most out of all their amps...but they make quality gear. I have also had every tube pre they make and they were good also.

I primarily use my LOE spector for most things.....the warwicks stay in cases....ocassionally the deluxe jazz comes out.....and i play covers now. Although was approached about a soundtrack recently....more one that to come but I canbtell you it will be white spector all the way

so what cab do you have now if not the dually and why did you get rid of it?

I'm still rocking the Dually.

DUDE that is awesome im glad for you really.. I am really intrigued about a Dually. I used to have an old fender 215 and loved it but traded it for a 410 which i then traded for my epifani 410 .. STILL LOVE THE RED custom you have i DO.. I fixed my NS2A and that thing is SICK .. I got 5 4 strings and am looking for a 5er now ... I love the feel of the B1500 for sure ... would love an M9 but need to sell a kidney for that one HAHA

Of course the Mesa will have a tad more slam....you're comparing class D to a lead sled and iron transformers.

I have the TH500 now and honestly like it better than my Mesa M9, but that's me. The TH has more complex, chewy mids and plenty of thick girth to slam at 4 ohms plus it's 3.8 pounds and fits in the front pocket of my gig bag.

Lol you two crack me up ... I think I will keep all three heads the gk mb8 , m9 and the th500 . Then I have the bases full and then just hit the homerun with the Spector !

Oh yeah, that's all I ran with the B1500 (The Dually). That cab has greater sensitivity than any 810 on the market. It has flat cured my cab GAS. 60 pound 215 with wheels. Epicness.
