I could never think of selling my Coda 5XL Deluxe...and I see another Coda in my future...down the road, with exotic top, and hopefully a P bass by that time 
12s cast 56oz in both with the top having a added tweeter. Plan on getting the aggie tonehammer 500 . But for now it will be my gk mb800 or my mesa M9 . Prolly the mb800 for now though. I was gonna get the head first but a good deal came up in the tb classifieds and had to jump on it .
3 hour gigs and rehearsals 2 days in a row really has gotten me behind in trying to catchup here! 
With my neck still healing from surgery a week ago I'm beat when I'm done. One day rest(?)(still need to rehearse at home...try some old GHS Black Tape Wounds on the Coda 5XL also) then Friday nights 2 hour gig at "Rhythm by the River". 
Then rest Saturday, a little, rehearse for Sunday morning gig...rest...rehearse Monday for Tue. night's 3 hour gig...whew...a whirlwind.

Guys, those who uses D-tuners on their Spectors - I need your advise. I installed one on my NS-2 and when started tuning the lever does not return E to its pitch. So it even returns E to "higher" pitch thus over-doing the thing. Did you ever experience this and what should I do to fix it?

You have to tune the E slightly flat. Then drop and return the lever a couple times to take out any slack. E should be in tune and then drop and tune the drop note with the adjustment screw.

I don't think it works with the balance......series parallel would be great,with single coils,but not so necessary for dcs.......this bass,is sick......trust me
Yes, this. Also, get some of that graphite nut powder or "nut sauce" to help with any stiction the brass nut may have against the strings.

I would only bring one bass. I've been known to just bring one bass when we play 30 minute setsHallo guys! I'm doing a show in front of 3000 people in a few weeks. Now it's a show mainly for kids, an afternoon show (inside, plus it's Norway so no worries about sun) and it'll only be two songs. I was wondering if I should bother bringing my backup? Of course it's always best to be prepared but it's only two songs and I'll give my lovely Euro a good check and test before.

I also added a compressor to my rack yesterday. Cant wait to try it out tomorrow night.

Nice, man! I love my Mesa gear, but after getting my Aggy pedals and my OBP-3, I'm really getting more interested in this company. Would love to get my hands on the DB751 and the DB412 if I ever get a chance.
Also, has anyone ever had hardware re-finished? It's looking like to get my Rex 5 to all gold hardware I'm gonna have to pick up a Legend 5 and swap the black for gold off that bass. I know that I don't need three 5ers right now and that's not going to go over well with the GF (even if it's had for a great price!). I've been thinking of taking the hardware somewhere (bridge and tuners) to get refinished in a gloss gold like the standard dome knobs I have on both of my basses right now.
Thoughts?

I've been missing lots of these Spector Threads this summer, as I'm spending way less time on the Net while it's so nice outside.
I've seen several posts regarding neck size recently. Specifically the concerns about the USA necks being quite thick for comfort. I'm playing a Forte-X dated 10/11/10, & although I haven't had the pleasure of playing more than a half a dozen different Spectors in the past, I can tell you that the neck at the nut on mine is way closer to a J than a P. It's really comfy and fast. Here's a few pics taken a few weeks ago when we were house/dog/cats/plants sitting at the 'bass' of Mount Si ... 30min east of Seattle.

I have a pair of aggie db112's same as you. I used my thunder funk 550b for the longest time, then outta curiosity I put the Mesa m6 on top......wow hold onto your horses! Talk about rock tone! My vote is for the Mesa, the tone hammer doesn't have the same girth......while the th500 might be a great amp, the Mesa m series will beat it out in balls and power.
I'm curious because I'm running 40Js in my ReBop right now and am contemplating an 18V USA or a TonePump w/ Balance.
I'm interested in learning more about the GK mb800 and the Aggie tonehammer 500 stuff, give me your thoughts once you get a chance to dig into it.....
I test drive new amps/speakers and only use effects on the fretless bass...but...keep landing back at my Peavey for it's familiar sound, is this considered old school or am I just not giving the new stuff a fair chance or comparrison?

I'm using the TH500 right now with the aggie DB212 cab and it's sounding great! I'm in the test period still. In a month or so I'll put the Shuttle 9.2 back in place and see what my ears tell me.
