So I was having a little fun with the Apogee tonight and I recorded this on the fly. I turned down the treble alot because I was getting alot of feedback. Let me know what you think of the tone and forgive the mess ups.

Cool jam buddy, nice tone....cool that the bass is fixed and sounding top notch, I would have just a touch more of the treble but if it was messing with you then you did all you could do!

Thank you, sir. Yeah it's the bass that I sent to Todd. It sounds way better on recording than what I'm hearing out of my hands. Lol. I had the treble almost off because of the noise I was getting. But live, it's about 60%. Don't have a problem with it then, just on the computer here at the house.:ninja:

Looks like I will be trying out a Hartke Kilo for a bit. Looks promising, Plenty of EQ, O.D. and compression. 3 tubes in the pre. Doesnt seem to be to much info on it though. I know the LH series has a Fender tone stack, Not sure if the Kilo does but with the graphic theres plenty of mid tweaking. Also havent found any info on tube swapping. I know when I had my SWR swapping the tube made no difference in tone.

I saw talk of the SVP earlier and I remembered I never mentioned what I ended up doing about my rig. I ended up trading my Trace rig in and picking up a Crown XLS1500 and an SVT410HLF to go with my SVP-PRO. It's a killer setup! My Spectors sound great running through it! I'm extremely happy with the tone I'm getting, I just have to keep the gain low, all my basses want to overdrive the SVP if I go anything above "3" on the gain.

I've heard some major label bassists using the KILO live recently and I really liked the tone they got actually. I'll be interested to see how they play w Spectors.

Rex did a clinic for Hartke in NYC and was using the Kilo head. He sounded great and was jamming along to some Pantera and Kill Devil Hill tracks. I believe there is a YouTube video of it but my iPad is not letting me post it so i can post it.

I wish I could make it to the KDH show this friday to hear it live... the youtube recording sounded a lot less defined then his ampeg rig was live. but that is apples and oranges really. IMHO

I thought it was pretty difficult to hear the bass on those tracks over the recordings he was playing to.

Geezer Butler is also using Kilos, as are the bass players from Shinedown and Filter.

Sounds great. Now I need to dive back into AIC. It's been a while. :bassist:

Killer Spector growl Coop!:bassist: Sounds like it should be a National top 20! :bassist::)

Hey gang...I decided to keep the Carvin B1500. I feel like I'd regret if I sold it...I believe that I'll be using it in the near future for some outdoor gigs that both of my bands are planning for next summer. I'll just be patient and wait for a couple of Aguilar GS212 cabs.:bassist::bassist::bassist:

If there's one thing I regret, it selling equipment. Good for you, Mike!
