The modules for all of the OBP's are exactly the same size, no problem at all fitting the OBP-3 in a Forte ;)

The OBP-2 and OBP-3 are exactly the same circuit with the exception of the added mid control, which adds a lot of additional tonal options :bassist:

new amp day!
Now I have mini rig of doom. MarkBass LMIII amp + Markbass NY 604 cab. I've already tried it in live setting in mid size venue this week and it was very loud for its size. And particulary punchy which marries my NS-2s perfectly. Here it is.

Guitar Center has a Rebop 4 string listed as a 'Classic' for $399 w/case. They ship cheap and if you don't like it you can return it to your local GC.

A friends band just opened up for the 80's glam/sleaze band faster pussycat a few nights ago. Medium sized club in Seattle. Not a big fan of FP but decided to go show some support for my friends band (Stonebender). The middle act has a bassist playing a Spector (Euro I think) that sounded awesome. Played through a GK Fusion 550 and GK 4X12 cab. Sounded like they de-tuned at least a step and it flat out rocked. The band was Red Light Saints and they sounded pretty good, but the Spector sound stole the show....IMO

And yes, I can't stand it when you tell someone you play a Spector Bass and they immediately say, oh, you're playing a Schecter huh. Grrrrrr:scowl: So now I say, I play a Spector, not a Schecter…before they have the chance to say anything.

Yep, that's the one. I have to keep reminding myself that I have fallen in love with my Wimbish neck and try to ignore it. Which, obviously, I can't. I will say, though, my GAS issues have subsided significantly since I bought Spalty a months ago.

Hahaha.... I had a feeling it might have been. I just wonder how that bridge will effect the tone when playing through the US18V circuit.

Approximately six months ago I ordered a new bass. This morning Christmas came early for me :). I present to you guys, The Riddler! It is a matte green stain neck through J/J with US 9 V circuit, very thin neck, original Leo Quan Badass bridge and black Schaller tuning machines. The guys at Spector totally surpassed my expectations, which were already high, and delivered something that is just flat out amazing. Playability, fit and finish and more importantly the sound are unlike any other Spector I've played. The big surprise was the very rich thick tone. I was expecting, and was willing to live with, less low mids for the sake of highs and high mids. Not so. I get both! I was going for a Brooklyn vibe with the Leo Quan bridge, I think I got something really really special

Where would the mids-pot go? On my X with the 2 I've got Bass/Treb/Vol/Blend

I thought your matte tangerine was stunning, but this one - whew!
