Watch out where the huskies go...
Looks like I missed a lot. Been in hospital for last 10 days.
The Forte 4 will be up for sale soon, as will the Coda Pro.
I hope all is well now. Sorry you have to sell. You just got that Coda!

I hope that your doing OK....
Everything I liked about the NS-5XL was there but more. Not as hi fi, but with a lot more personality. Low growl, chewy mids, plays "like buttah". I like a little bass and treble added and the blend about 30% favoring the P-pup. My secondary gig does "Black Velvet". I'll see if I can favor the bridge pup and try to get that fretless sound Dave Fowler says he can get.
I've been a using Pedulla's exclusively for about 4-5 years now (sold everything else in the collection - even my Euros :scowl, but about 6 months ago I purchased a sweet SSD era SD-5P (reddish/ruby) and has quickly become a favorite, and thus induced SAS...
I just put down some $$ on an SSD era NS-5P in blue (I struggle too much on the 35" scale, and the SSD era basses are perfect for me)... hoping to get it paid off in the next two weeks![]()
What is your string of preference for your Spectors (I was using DR Low Riders and EB Cobalts on my Pedulla's)? I play hard rock/metal (Maiden/Sabbath/Ozzy/VH/Rush/etc).

Is that SSD the one from Corner Music in Nashville??
Yes - is that good/bad?
I'm not the biggest fan of 34" scale 5'ers, but I thought it was a pretty sweet playing/sounding instrument! ...I'm a bit surprised it's lasted this long honestly! It's a good thing!! Last night I finally got to strap on the NS-2, get under the headphones and do some playing along with the GB-10 thru the RH450.

Band rehearsal is tomorrow night. Can't wait to hear it through my rig.![]()

+1, its a good one. I've also played it.
You know, I never notice when a bass is 35 or 34 scale. I makes no difference to me. Even on a five.
I've had good luck with DR lo-riders on all my basses.

I never really noticed a difference before, but since my only bass is a 35" scale fretless, it seems I've developed a 'feel' for that extra bit of reach!![]()
....also, frets feel strange under the fingers now. I went out the other day to kill some time at a few guitar shops, and every bass I picked up felt weird...and of course they all had frets. When I got home, my fretless just felt right!![]()

I've been very happy with DR Fat Beams, but I just received a set of DR Low-Riders from Bassstringsonline.com. I figured I'd give a shot, since I've tried just about all the or DRs. Just curious, are you using the stainless or nickel low-riders?
