Getting a visit from a (somewhat) local Spector Club member today to receive my newest acquisition, can't wait to play (and maybe post some pics...LATER) this bass, though it might not be for long as it is since I happen to have a spare Korean copy of the USA9V pre that is begging to be put in a Spector... :D

I'm using the SS low riders. Be aware they are higher tension strings and may have an adverse effect on your neck relief.

I like D'addario and have a set of Chrome flatwounds on my fretless, wonder if I'm not string picky? I want a difference in tone when I pick up the next bass and enjoy going from the DR Lo-Riders SS, Ernie Ball Cobalts SS, Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky Nickel plated SS, to the D'addario FW strings....Or I'm just crazy! lol

I've done this in the past, but find that the feel difference is noticeable when using mis-matched strings.

Maybe I'll stick with my Formulas or go back to DR coated.

I use D'Addario .120's for my B strings. I have them on two different Spectors.
My extremely upgraded (DC's, Trim-TP, brass nut, etc.) Legend 6 which is 35" scale
and my Forte 4 (tuned B - D) which is 34" scale.

While the B is still "workable" on the 34" scale, neck thru Forte,
it is noticebly better on the bolt on Legend because of the 35" scale.

I've found that a .120 is too small. Ends up clanky, at least with my style. I usually run DR .125 or a Spector .130T

Met ebradfordrich for long enough for him to drop off the bass, got to have a little chat but it was a bit damp out, so not too long, good guy too, look what beauty he sold me, its stayin in the club!
