On a different note, I wish bass strings had some type of branding on them! I have like 10 barely used sets of strings and the other night I threw a set of what I think may be the new Spector 603 strings. Super low tension, and plays like butter. Sounds amazing. I just wish I knew for sure what they were!!! If the they are the 603s, then I like them much better on this P/J Euro, versus the NS4-H2, they would have been on previously.

Speaking of 603s, I have a 5-string set that I cut to length & installed on my ReBop for all of 5 minutes before I ran into my truss rod issues.

You made it very clear to understand. I guess in a custom shop they can have a lot of different numbers running at the same time and depending on which one gets back from the finisher first or has its neck or hardware ready can get completed first...when are the necks signed and are the bodies signed with the same number so when they are returned they get matched up (in case two basses are ordered with the same neck)?
I would imagine that the other P-Bass has a Pau Ferro board for the Black Cherry color so they can show the difference at NAMM?

You are correct about the necks being matched to a particular instrument. And also on what comes back first might not have been the first one signed.

On the Black Cherry P, I am not sure what the neck is going to be. I would guess it would be different like you said but even PJ didn't seem to know. Said he should know Wednesday when they arrive at NAMM. Said he would call or text me with details and photos. Sounds like it will be a surprise for all of us. :hyper:

I apologize in advance but I don't know much about the earlier models of the Czech built basses. I have one and I THINK it was before they started calling them EURO. It does NOT have the tone pump pre amp. Crown inlays, mat gold hardware. I have owned 2 euros and this thing is heavier and sounds SOOOO much better. I may end up selling it, as much as I love it, so trying to get accurate info
