Speaking of Coda P-basses, did anyone else notice that this new beauty is #004? I want to see 1-3!!

1 & 2 haven't been built yet and 3 is on it's way to NAMM.
3 is suppose to be Black Cherry. 1 & 2 are reserved for Stuart and PJ generally. Hope that helps.

+1 Ho is a class act all the way.

Meh Don't much care for the tones from it...to my ears I liked the ProSteels better in the comparisons.

I love the Prosteels.

I've used them on my Euro & NS-2 for years now. I still prefer the D'Addario nickles on my NS-4 - that bass just sounds a bit smoother on the mids & highs with the nickles.

Thank you, my Spector family, for all the love and support. I gotta admit to being a bit perturbed at Sandwich's actions, but I quickly got over it. It was a tough decision to part with the Tangerine Forte. I did it to finance a Walnut NS-2 with Leo Quan bridge. I will quickly tell you my side. I sold the bass to Sandwich for the club price of $1950. I figured used Fortes with the OBP-2 go for about $1800, so one with a HAZ, which are near impossible to get, was worth the asking price/ club price. I mentioned to Sandwich that if he ever wanted to part with it, to let me have dibs. I thought he was very happy with the bass, but he then texted me to say that he saw an NS-4 that he just had to have, and of his intention to sell the Tangerine Forte on ebay for more than what he paid for it. Fully understanding Spector GAS, I told him no worries, good luck. It's not something I would do. But that's just me. If he gets his dream Spector out of the deal then that's a great thing . I've been more than blessed in owning some beautiful Spectors, and in a couple of weeks I will own another and the Spector arsenal will be, once again, complete. NS-2 with J/J pickups, HAZ and Badass bridge. Custom Euro-4 P/J pickups with HAZ. And a Brooklyn style Walnut NS-2. That puts it into perspective for me. Sandwich, I ain't mad at ya baby!

This whole situation shows both the loyalty between Spector club members and the classiness of them too. Sure, we may be bearded beer swilling (some of us) bass playing layabouts, but we got class! Good show, I say!

Number 1 and 2 are reserved and will be built later for Stuart and PJ. 3 and 4 got built around the same time but 4 became the first P-Bass that was completed....kind of how I understand this!

I have a line on a Spector NS-2C but I can't find much info on them, I know it's passive PV with a flat body but I was wondering if you have owned, played or have thoughts on this model. Thanks

It's a bolt-on NS-2B, from what I recall. Similar to the Kramer NS-2A that every one loves, but it's a flat top bass. Black hardware, Spector pickups.

So glad to hear your comments, Ho! If you are cool with it, than I am, too.

On a different note, I wish bass strings had some type of branding on them! I have like 10 barely used sets of strings and the other night I threw a set of what I think may be the new Spector 603 strings. Super low tension, and plays like butter. Sounds amazing. I just wish I knew for sure what they were!!! If the they are the 603s, then I like them much better on this P/J Euro, versus the NS4-H2, they would have been on previously.

I have to write down what strings I have on what bass, and any ones I take off and keep, I make sure and label. Not OCD, just forgetful!
