Is it me or do the pups on the Forte4 SS look closer together than a NS2-JJ?

What does that mean tonally.

Probably a tad more aggression. The SS pups are placed over the harmonic nodes but the closer to the bridge a more tight and focused response is heard. IMHO and all that jazz.

Same one's Dimebag used Killer signal quality equal to George L's but with excellent durability.

Never had an issue with any of mine.

What series do you use? I've always used Monster cables, 20' right-angle to straight, and not had any problem, but high-quality cable at the prices I see on the spectraflex site sounds great to me, most nice cables cost 4x the monster price, but Spectraflex is only around 2x the cost and seem to last forever so I'll check them out.

I'm leaning to the Standard because of the ruggedized connectors, do you know if the Fatso flex has any noticeable advantage?

They are definitely closer on the Forte SS...so it's not you Jeff.

Well sonuvabitch...

Just took the bass apart again, and lo and behold though the battery was not entirely loose inside the compartment as it had been when it arrived, it had in fact come slightly unseated from the pre...looks like I was just rocking too hard

Time find some foam and pack that sucker in there...and on that note, I'm all the more excited for the SS to arrive; it's always nice to be able to simply switch to passive when something goes awry with the battery

My battery came off of the Ultraviolet bass during shipment as well, it seems the HAZ doesn't have a tight clip so you probably shouldn't be doing any bump and grind during the set! lol

Almost looks like they put the extra width of the pickups towards the center of the bass which closes the gap between the two, Husky seems to like his SS and I guess you will have to let us know about the tone you will be getting with the HAZ loaded SS my friend....

Back in 2006, I ordered a some bulk Mogami wire are some neutrik connectors and soldered a bunch of guitar cables. My plan was to use the best cable and connectors I could find. I gave a few away, but I've never had one go bad.

I use all Mogami with Neutrik connectors as well. Pedalboard, racks, everything. My son also uses all Mogami in his guitar rig. Neither one of us has had any problems with them ever over the years. Spendy, but worth it. Highly recommend them!!

I have been stepping on Hosa cables for years. No issues for PA or instruments. Reasonably priced also.

The nice people at FedEx brought this to me yesterday afternoon.

I've always wanted on of these guitar racks but couldn't justify the price.

But thanks to amazon.com, $19.95, it was possible! It's not a Hercules but it'll serve me well at home.

I agree for home these are nice. But, when I was on the road regular guitar stands we're not a good thing with roadies and sound men knocking stuff over. These are overkill for home but by far the best multi-guitar stand out there.
