That puts the Gorgeous in
"simply gorgeous"!!! :hyper::hyper:

Yo Trace! It's an Ibanez Roadstar. This one. Played thru the amp you see there. Effects are a DBX 163 compressor and in the breakdown in the middle I'm using a Boss Pitch Shifter to thicken the sound.

Niiiice.. I was trying to figure out if it was the tone I liked at 37:30 - :40 or that it sounded familiar to me...
I used to have an Ibby roadstar... in 82 or 83

Excellent! Beautiful!

There's two more words.

Congrats Tony, she's a beauty! :bassist:

BTW, what preamp & controls do you have? I'm assuming it has a midrange control, being a single pickup model.

Very, Very, NICE!

congrats! I'm really happy this one ended up with a club member! I'm sure it sounds/plays as amazing as it looks!

I must say, you have good taste.

NICE! I was wondering how long it was going to be til this lovely turned up here. Well done. She sure is purty. And when you are ready to jettison spalty, you know where to find me. ;)

Thanks guys! I saw this bass pop up on eBay and immediately remembered seriously SASing over it when it was new at The High Studio a year or so ago. They called it Walnut Legacy and I never forgot it. MM pup with Aguilar OBP-3, matte black neck, and AAAAA flame top. I was able to pull the trigger this time and, man, am I glad I did. It's stunning in person! :D

Now the tone and playability... another WOW! It's a special bass. Possibly the nicest I've ever played. And its like new condition, too. I just néed to get some of my favorite strings on it. I'm familiar with the NS-4H2 and the OBP-3 as I used to have one. This one just seems punchier and man does it growl! A lot more natural highs and mids, don't need to dial them up on this one. A little turn up of the bass and this thing flat out slays. :bassist:

The neck is much more to my liking than the old one. All around, I'm much more impressed with this one. I just got a new laptop, so once I figure out how to get my drum software moved over I'll record a few lines for you all to hear it.

I think this one is a keeper. Spalty got to move over and make some room on the rack!

This means the Coda 4 is going up for sale soon. If anyone is interested, PM me, I'll give you a great Club deal!

You asked. One I was playing at a dive bar in Oregon (just had a hair cut), the other watching my friends band play an outdoor show in the sun (just shaved the stache). Oh the 80's..........Good times though.....

if anybody has some EMG 40 pups let me know, I'm looking to upgrade my NS2000/5 to some active pups. On another note I just strung her up C# G# C# F# B and I'm really digging it. The plan is to use it as a backup for Defy Tolerance.

You wanna get the most outta that NS-2000/5? Check out the P-up leads. The HZ series have the ability to split from humbucker to dual-coil mode. You can get some serious J sound punch with them!! Just wire in a push/pull for the Vol pots.

I dig the 'stache. I might need to expand my faicial hair repertoire. I've had the goatee since way before it was cool (then it was not cool then it was retro ironically cool and then I just said F it, I don't care.) Haha. :bassist:
