You wanna get the most outta that NS-2000/5? Check out the P-up leads. The HZ series have the ability to split from humbucker to dual-coil mode. You can get some serious J sound punch with them!! Just wire in a push/pull for the Vol pots.

nice.... I would need the diagram to do that, but that sounds interesting.

Thanks guys! I saw this bass pop up on eBay and immediately remembered seriously SASing over it when it was new at The High Studio a year or so ago. They called it Walnut Legacy and I never forgot it. MM pup with Aguilar OBP-3, matte black neck, and AAAAA flame top. I was able to pull the trigger this time and, man, am I glad I did. It's stunning in person! :D

Now the tone and playability... another WOW! It's a special bass. Possibly the nicest I've ever played. And its like new condition, too. I just néed to get some of my favorite strings on it. I'm familiar with the NS-4H2 and the OBP-3 as I used to have one. This one just seems punchier and man does it growl! A lot more natural highs and mids, don't need to dial them up on this one. A little turn up of the bass and this thing flat out slays. :bassist:

The neck is much more to my liking than the old one. All around, I'm much more impressed with this one. I just got a new laptop, so once I figure out how to get my drum software moved over I'll record a few lines for you all to hear it.

I think this one is a keeper. Spalty got to move over and make some room on the rack!

This means the Coda 4 is going up for sale soon. If anyone is interested, PM me, I'll give you a great Club deal!

Enjoy the bass dude, I'm the guy that sold it! It was a painful decision to part with this one, but I had to fund a new acquisition. I've been meaning to post my basses, I'm sure you guys have seen them before. Maybe this weekend. Either way, enjoy!

And he's in! Welcome.

Sweet Euro!

Sometimes I'm on the ball and get numbers assigned quickly and sometimes not.
But, I assign numbers in order of request by date then time via PM MESSAGES.
So, if you ask today and I don't get it assigned for a few days. Don't worry. Your join date is still the day you requested membership. :D

Would anyone be willing to trade a set of EMG 40CSs for my current set of EMG 40DCs? They're in perfect condition I would just like an EMG that is less harsh ImageUploadedByTalkBass1393611359.465343.jpg

Against my better judgement, I am posting this, and I plan not to say anything else about it. I don't want to be a shart-stirrer.
Anyone who is friends with JPSBassist on Facebook has probably seen his post today about a contract dispute with a not-to-be-named client that he did work for over 4 years. I was hoping it's not Spector, but people are messaging me left and right about it, and it seems to be the case.
Lawyers are already involved; the good thing about that is that it will keep things quiet and out of public airwaves for a while. I think Patrick is a really neat person, and though I have never met him, he seems very nice. However, he is extremely passionate, and very artistic. That eccentricity comes off a bit harsh at times.
The words "PR battle" have already came up; I hope that it's just hurt feelings doing the talking, and that all this can be resolved. The last thing I want to see is either party's name being dragged through the mud, and needless $$$ being spent on lawyers. The work JPS and Spector did together was absolutely amazing, and it led to some amazing promotion for the brand, as well as Patrick's abilities.

Keeping my fingers crossed that these guys can resolve the differences, get Patrick paid, and prevent Spector from having to start over from scratch.

Man, that's a shame...

I really like Patrick too, and I agree that the work he & Spector did together was amazing. I miss his presence here - he always gave good advice & was a great resource of Spector knowledge. I hope he finds satisfaction & happiness with his new job, and I wish him nothing but the best.

Patrick is a great guy and so is Stuart and PJ. I hope they can find a way to fix this, nobody says they ever have to work together again but at least try to end it on good terms!

I'm not too sure this is a conversation that Spector or Patrick would want discussed here and have people debate about it and offering their opinions on this personal matter.

We haven't seen anyone take a stance either way, yet. All we've heard is good things for both sides & that we hope they come to an amicable solution.

I think everyone in this club is good for that. :)

I'll second that. I consider both Patrick and PJ friends of mine, and this whole situation is already awkward and ugly enough.

Let's just ignore it and hope it resolves itself amicably without any added public input.
