Hmm, did someone see this before… I ordered a gold Xtender for my Euro Wimbish (and some Res-O-Lite tuners) but this Xtender is not the same!

The shaft is much shorter and I can not wind the E string on it!

Now the situation is still this:
gotoh0.JPG How ugly is that? (LOL)

Before I going to look for another one… Which one do I need!

Did you try cutting the E string shorter so that it wraps properly on the shorter shaft?

No, I did not… It had really no space for a 100 string!

I took the tuner for the E string from my NS-2o, and put it on my Kramer Era NS-2. I put the detuner that was on the Kramer Era NS-2 on my NS-2o, this morning. The shaft on the detuner is shorter than the standard tuners. So, to make the E string work, I had to cut the string from 42.75", which is the length I used for the standard tuner, to 41.25", or 1 1/2" shorter than the string length for the standard tuner. Works just fine...

I don't understand WHY they do the Xtender with shorter shaft !
I had one, the string always touch, even with only ONE lap, never in tune :
I detune, ok, i tune and the E is always wrong !
:rollno:
I removed and put a classic tuner !

I've never used a detuner before. It just so happened to come with the red Kramer NS-2. I swapped out the detuner on the red Kramer NS-2 for the standard tuner on the NS-2o because I don't have another standard tuner, and so far I've experienced the same problem. I've been looking for a gold Schaller bass side tuner for the Kramer era NS-2, but so far I haven't found one.

I have had the same issues on the guitar side, with a Hipshot Gotoh version. I think what happens is that they start with the original tuner key but by the time they add the pivot plate and washer you lose the original height from the added thickness of those components. I love the company, their products and level of service bu this is a real issue in some applications.

This is exactly it.
I've actually had Hipshot extend (1/4") the post on a couple Xtenders over the years so the posts would be the same length as the other tuners above the headstock Surface. No issues. I just hated the uneven look.

I will be receiving my first Spector shortly Rebop dlx (Pics coming as soon as it arrives) and I am already looking for the next one. I wanted to put out a feeler as I have a extensive firearm collection ( as most Alaskans do) and wanted to see if anyone is interested in possible trades. My best available are a Ruger SuperRedhawk 480 6 rounds with Leupold scope, And a unfired Keltec KSG 12 gauge shotgun loaded with red dot, flashlight. Trade value of around $2,000 or so in excellent condition. Obviously shipping would be through a licensed firearm dealer and local laws would have to be adheared too. Let me know what you have. Cash plus or minus can be discussed. If this is not allowed mods please delete. No offense intended.
