Damn, that is awesome! Great playing, awesome arrangement, cool tone.I'd like to share with you a clip from one of the tracks of the new album. This track has the more "Complex" bass lines and probably took me the longest to dial the tone for and nail the take. It was a doozy indeed.
On the original track there will be a guitar solo at the end so that funky slap part gets a bit buried in the mix unfortunately. I mixed it without the solo and the bass up quite a bit
This is the Brooklyn NS-2 which is a beast tuned to drop D
Headphones somewhat essential.
Hope you like!

Be careful what you wish for, Lee may fly you in to rake his lawn, as in real lawn. The same one that takes him I think 2-3 hours to mow on a tractor during the summer. ;-)
You have a point Sam. I've noticed his property in the background of some of his pix. Just kidding Lee!
Says the guy who owns 2 of the best unique looking Spectors in the group. :-D
Love, love, LOVE the tone. Cool, intricate song. Personally, I think the bass is mixed perfectly but I know you might bring it down some in the final mix. You have a way of getting a great percussive tone without all the clank. Very nice!

This is GREAT news Anton!A small post-X-Ray update: I've had MRI scanning of my spine today and the doctor said I can carry on with NS-2Basically, I have a problem but not that big to reduce bass weight and no need for surgery at least if I stick to some pre-cautions in my daily routine. Carry on, Spector growl !!!
Sooo I don't have to sell the best bass of my lifeNS-2 stays with me.
Now aren't you glad you didn't sell me that NS-2Lee! This sounds fantastic!Hey guys,
A few clubbers have been hitting me up for sound clips on my NS 2P and I've been putting them off because I REALLY suck at recording. But, being as cool as this club is, I've been getting tons of help from guys like Sam, Omer and Cooper, etc. I still know just enough to get in trouble but I finally got a decent "take" of what the 2P sounds like live to my ear. This clip is the NS 2P direct with no effects, compression or anything. It was recording using a cheap mbox interface into GarageBand (gasp). I just did a quick improv and there are plenty of flubs/mistakes (please don't focus on those lol).
To me the 2P sounds very similar to my NS 2's but just with more of an open and airy (there's those words again) way. Sounds like a passive NS 2 honestly. As always, headphones or good speakers work best. See what you think:

I like it from the deep growl thru the growly mids. This is the most aggressive passive PBass I've heard. My former Coda 5XL had good aggressiveness in passive but not like this. Great chops brother
Very NICE indeed Tony, Thanks!Sweet! Some super flamin' going on there. Congrats!

Gotta give kudos to GC, this thing is mint. Not a scratch on her, plastic still on the control cavity. If not for the strings being dead I'd never guess it's been used at all.
Will have some "doppelgänger #1" pics post rehearsal, including the serial # since there still seem to be some skeptics - and I don't blame them. I would be in the same boat if I didn't know exactly where the original bass in question was![]()
Serial#'s, we need serial#'s DETROIT RED WINGS!Very cool!! ..although I honestly think it looks better in Chicago!![]()
Email PJ at [email protected] and ask him if you can order a black bridge with the intonation screws. If anyone can hook you up, he can.
Congratulations Jeremy! That's beautiful. Black Cherry is my fav on legends and I've always admired the Legend 6. I've almost bought one a couple different times but I can't justify owning a 6 string quite yet as I don't really play the G string much on a 5r. Some day when I get involved with a jazz band I'll pickup a 6r. Enjoy brother! In LA all morning for a Stanley Cup

This^ is why I like either a 5 string or 4 string tuned BEAD. Moving vertical on the strings vs horizontally on the neck.Exactly. I'm new to the 6, the main reason I'm trying that option is for proggy stuff, it's a little easier to move across the strings than it is to move way up/down the neck, or at least more economical. I started jamming a couple Symphony X covers and realized I was using up a lot of energy moving around on the neck. With the six I'm not quite getting the arm workout.

Question for all of you JAR owners out there. Has anyone ever swapped out the Badass bridge for a Babicz FCH bridge? It looks like the Badass uses three screws while the Babicz uses five. I'm just wondering if this is a minor mod with two more holes to drill or it more extensive mods would be needed.
never considered it. I thought the badass was one of the intriguing aspects of that bass.
