The stupid nuts to secure the stacked control pots :banghead:

The pre came with all 4 of the same size nuts and the stacked controls are a larger diameter than vol and blend.

I've got a parts bucket, time to dig through....

I'm also loving the BTS EQs that are in both of my Euros. Especially after I experimented with their internal dip switches.

I've always preferred a 3-band EQ, to have control over my mids, but I found the ON/ON setting on the BTS moves the center frequency down on the Highs control, and it also narrows the frequencies that get boosted (or cut). :thumbsup:

I had the right sized nuts so I got it all together... and one of the collars on a stacked knob set is stripped, the set screw just spins and doesn't secure it. All in all the knobs are cheap and will get changed at some point (hopefully EMG will send me a replacement for the stripped one first...). Anyone have recommendations for that?

The pre works great. Not as much boost as the TP Jr on 9 volts but early impressions are positive. I still have to fool with internal dip switches but I much prefer blend to 2 volumes, and center detents for the EQ. The bass needs new strings and pickup height adjustment after taking it all apart, I'll do final tweaks when I throw a new set on.

Gonna sell the Tone Pump Jr if anyone is interested. I left the quick connect plugs on for the pickups and labeled the jack wires so it's an easy install.

Definitely get in touch with EMG via your telephone.

Their support is amongst the best that I've experienced. I snapped a volume pot on my NS4CRFM. Totally my fault. I called them to possibly purchase a new pot, and they shipped me a brand new one at no cost.

Yup, I reached out and they're sending me a replacement priority mail :thumbsup:

I'll likely still get new knobs at some point but EMG's customer service was great, no questions asked. :bassist:

I think that NS2 is the one from this room. Sorry, I don't recall who ordered it but damn. It's nicer then the one from the famous guy… again, don't remember who that was either. A bit of booze in me ol system at the least moment. That's a killer NS2 though and the Forte with the maple wings… Cmon.

if I was a 4 string guy…. I'm literally selling my prized 4 string as we speak as it never gets played.

Big shout out to Jason at Fret Nation. I just placed an order with him for a custom NS-2. Production is 10-12 months out.
