just got my BQC installed in the euro 5 yesterday. for those using this pre, what dip switch setting do you all prefer and why? I really like the treble response of the HAZ, But being a 3 band by a different company, that might not be possible on this one.

I listed my RST in the classifieds if anyone is interested. I really like it, but need to clear some cash right now. It was an impulse purchase I probably shouldn’t have made. Sigh. Will come with a Spector hardshell case. 7.3 lbs.

I run mine, on//on, because it has more effect in the 1K area for boosting or cutting.

IIRC I’m using OFF/ON (1/2) and also set the mid-frequency to 1kHz (all the way up). Then boost bass and treble to 100% and boosting mids a little.
No, not exactly, but imho I think the BQC and BTS are excellent preamps - price and soundwise. Here‘s how it sounds in my Euro 4LX.

not that look like Spectors, but I always liked these o-ring style of concentric knobs

I dig those too, and have them on several basses...especially on basses with gold hardware...the black rings kinda tone-down the gold but still satisfy my OCD. I too am not a fan of the plastic knobs.

you mean that beveled knobs which are on the Euros or the HAZ-style? either way didn’t see any concentrics designs - and i also looking for cool knobs.
