SPECTOR® Owners Club

I have seen guys take a large Phillips tip and grind the tip down flat which allows it to rest inside, you will want to make sure it grabs all four sides snug and then remove the nut for replacement.

I've never replaced a truss rod nut before (I may just have somebody who has do it), if I were to do that would I just keep loosening the nut until it comes out?

If it's a single action rod, as most older ones are, then yes. You just turn and turn until it comes off. Then, put a new one on. You should be able to find a replacement at AllParts.

Awesome screen-name - great play on Nahuatl (Aztec)!!!

Holy cow. your the only one to notice. At least the only one to say anything. I actually got it from my wife. When she was playing Civilization IV she took over a city and renamed it but pretty badly misspelled the ancient city's name. When I ssaw it I nearly died of laughter and have used it as a sn ever since.

Did you guys catch RootBeer up on eBay? Looks like the former owner was or is a forum member.

Edit: seems like we can't link external sites properly here ATM.....it's listed as "euro 4 solid maple bass custom" $1500 bin.

Guess it was refinished by the Spector folks in 2013, amazing grain.

Anybody here use the MOP inlays on any of their Spectors? I just ordered a set for my NS2A and was wondering how easy they are to apply and how easy they are to remove if I decide I don't like them. Any thoughts?
Are you talking about new replacement dots or the crown stickers?
The creative cuts stickers look real good and are easy to remove later.
