I know this isn't the ads, and I'm not really interested in selling, but I was wondering if anyone (preferably on the west coast) would be interested in a temporary/permanent swap of Spectors... I've got the dark dark purple ReBop - all stock with EMGs and the OBP-1. I'd just like to see what else is out there...

If you are looking for a HAZ clone, there is one on eBay right now.

Mighty mite stopped making the MM114 a LONG time ago. When I contacted them about purchasing one about a year ago, they informed me that it had been discontinued.

That's the second Haz Clone on eBay in a week or so.

Last one wasn't guaranteed to work sold for ~$45 or so., looks like this one is.

I'm in the SFV and have been considering a move to a 5'er. What would you value that at in terms of a swap? I have a Spector Euro 4 (2004) with an 18v OBP-2 that I might consider parting with.

Not sure how long its been there or if others have seen it but there's an interesting NS-4H2 buckeye burl for sale at Bass Northwest. Can't say I've ever seen a burl that looked like that, almost a Spalted Koa type look (if there is such a beast).
Here's a link...

Time to admit, i've been lurking the Spector club for a long time cuz I very very much want one but can't manage the cost :( I had to comment on that thing. Its so gorgeous!

I'm in AZ and I'm looking to move my NS2000/5 for a 4 string.... PM if you are interested in talking..... I'm interested in seeing an actual picture too.

I saw this beauty at Atlanta Bass Gallery today. It has an owner, but he doesn't like the feel of the neck, and is looking to sell it. It hasn't really been played at all.
This was a NAMM display bass; buckeye burl top with clear finish, BEM fretboard with BMOP crown inlays, OBP-2 with Aggie 70s.
Looks and sounds amazing!
If you are interested in this thing, call ABG; Jim will put you in touch with the owner for more info.

I totally forgot to get the # from the headstock. Doh!

If you want a wide neck 5 string check out the Spector NS5H2W that Todd has on the Guitar House site, the nut width is 1.88.
Carey, yes I saw this bass in Todd's shop. But my idea was NS-5 34" with HAZ which actually is the bass that Dave owns. The way I see it - this Kramer era NS5 is actually a 5 string version of NS2 but with JJ config which is the bass I'm looking for. If I can manage my funds without selling my NS2 it would be a great addition to my vintage Spectors park (they are all gloss black! lol). I just did not expect that the asking price would be twice as my NS-2 :(

I understand (the vintage bass is the goal and its not about the popping/slapping concern), the bass Dave has is very sweet looking!
I know that Todd mentioned wanting to down size his collection, I don't know if he has a Spector/Kramer NS5 or if he would consider selling it if he did...but...I would suggest asking him (he might even know someone who has one available).

If you look at Spectorworld.com, Todd has two Kramer NS5's. But he's given no indication of selling those. ;)
