Alright, I'll bite the hook

#1. Swamp Ash body on a Coda 5, solid Black high gloss, White Pearl PG, Oil finished Maple neck W/Fretless Ebony FB, black high gloss headstock, MOP Spector double S inlay at 12th fret position, Silver hardware W/BadAss II Bridge, 1 set Passive P pups (Demarzios?), no preamp, just vol. & Tone controls.

It's a shame that there was such a small quantity of these NS-5 produced that time. I'd grab one with no hesitation if I could find one. I have wanted a NS 5 since 1989 ,and have seen five come up for sale. I nearly pulled the trigger on a beautiful trans blue one .This was in 1996 and guy wanted 5,500!! I regret it now but that was a lot of money to spend on a bass at the time. Stick to your guns and you find one. I love Dave's NS5 but my dream one is a Trans Blue , Amber. etc. There is even a Tobacco Sunburst Ns 5 floating around in some lucky guys arsenal!

well Rebopmass lookslike you do have some great basses for your collection .. my deal was this rebop i got for $370 .. so i couldnt pass it up.. wish I would have kept my NS2A to switch the HAZcopy into it though.. here are a before and after pics.. only thing i have done is upgrade the bridge to the newer heavier black coated brass one.. Mmmmm...and black nylon Tapewounds Very beautiful refin Tomy! My former ReBop 5DLX was a natural finish and started to get that thumb wear above the neck pup, which bummed me out. Great solution with the refinish.

Nope not at all, I just like your collection...and...I like the unknowns, makes it exciting to see what might pop in for a surprise!

Fretless NS-2 with a carbon fiber composite neck (phenowood may be the only fretboard I can use with this), lined fretboard. EMG P/J (of course) and a BTS circuit. Matte black finish.
I am taking "custom" to an entirely new level.

That's an awesome idea. I'd take a full humbucker of some kind in the bridge location over the P, but otherwise that's pretty sweeeeet idea!

You just made me want to amend mine. Didn't even think of non standard pickup option.

I'd do a standard emg p pickup plus a humbucker with a MusicMan Sterling style toggle, in addition to the standard blend knob, for series, parallel and one coil only. Probably wouldn't use the actual switch they use on Sterlings but you could get the same effect with a few push pull knobs most likely.

We've sold a couple of sets of Geezer EMG's but I have yet to try them. One of the guys that bought a P&J set is suppose to bring in his Pbass for me to try out. I'm really jonesing to try them out.

Ok ill get more creative...i want a body and neck the same specs as a kramer era, double humbucking pickups with switches for running them in series, parallel, and single coil. spectacular tube quilting in high gloss trans white, oh yeah you heard that right. Ebony board with a custom inlay MOP wolf head at the 12th, hipshot ultralights,detuner, and hipshot bridge. All hardware matte black. White leds running up the side of the neck. Pre amp, im thinking emg bt circuit with an exb circuit as well. I would dub it Arctic Frost. BAM! NAMM show stopper! Hey Todd how much would this cost me? Lol
