Spector bass?

Warwick didn't copy the design solely to capitalize on the Spector thing and make money, neither company was big enough for that to work. I see it as a case of a new European-based luthier wanting to provide access to his countrymen to a bass he loved that was sort of hard to come by even in America. When said German met the originator there was mutual respect and understanding. Spector clearly got the sense it wasn't theft but flattery.

Well, if you want to emulate Rex Brown, you could always get a Jackson. That's what he played back when they were doing the club scene (like Savvy's, for example.) But this is a Spector thread. ;)

Actually, upon perusing the Spector website, I've found that they DO make more affordable models in the holoflash finish I so greatly desire. Does anyone have any experience with the lower end Spector basses???
