These basses have made me a Spector devotee for life. I couldn't be any happier with this pair.

But I borrowed the girl for this illustration.

When I'm bored I sometimes do illustration. It's something I was trained to do many, many years ago. I'll go a couple of years without drawing anything then I'll hit a creative mood and do 10 or so illustrations in a week.

Anyway. Something different for the board today.

Cool. I love my Euro4LX-35 BEAD. And funny, but I leave the TW pups in single coil mode all the time now. I like that tone better.

Glad it worked out for you. Rock on!

It is funny how the same bass will take on a whole new tonal characteristic.
I got mine done in time as I'm having left shoulder surgery (4 places) tomorrow. I'll enjoy the heck out of her tonite...for next week I will rest...maybe. I'll have my wife set my NS on my lap as long as I can reach the neck. Hey! Isn't that considered muscle exercising? Physical Therapy? :D

I love that green! I have never seen that color before and man, that is sweet. Both are beautiful but that green really jumped out at me.

Gosh i want a green 5 string like that!!!! Time to trade the Stingray!!! :hyper:

Thanks, guys. She's definitely the pride of the fleet. I bought it from bobunit, who judging from that sweet NS5 on the 1st page as well as my emerald beauty (you should see his other basses), is no stranger to nicely figured translucent colored Spectors.

I know this subject gets brought up a lot, but I would like to hear from the Spector Club members on this one.

I just bought a 2003 ReBop4. It has the EMG-HZ pups with the TonePump pre-amp. Even compared to my Euro 5LX with EMG DC pups and EMG-BQC system pre-amp, I do like the HZ-TD combo in the ReBop. I would just like to change the Vol/Vol controls to Vol/Blend.

I've seen schematics for doing this. One has the blend on the input to the TonePump and the Volume on the output. Another has the Blend and Volume on the input. Any comments on a preference and why?

Thanks!

Here is the rest of the family:

Beautiful family Jt! Recently "stole" a white 87 NS 2 from Guitar Center They thought it was a "Euro from the eighties"! Stupid price, Had i been a hour later it would have been sold. I know the rules no pics no bass :D Going to take the Spector to my sisters and get a lesson in posting pics:o

Especially since there were no "Euros" in the 80's.
Just some Korean or Japanese.

We want pics!

Its the real deal! Spector bridge, Pau ferro fingerboard, Haz Lab.crown inlays.Todd from Spector world verified the serial number for me (had doubts about whether the finish was original. it is)" The Euro from the eighties " Was what the sales man told me over the phone. I found it in the just in section on the Guitar Center website, they just put the picture up I just about creamed my jeans! When i called them they already had three people Email them about the bass The price they had even if it was a Euro would have been a steal! So i pulled out my debit card and bought it! When i opened the box i nearly screamed,For a twenty four old instrument it is in near mint condition! I had another Ns2 a 1988 natural stain quilted maple bought from Corner Music in Nashville in 1991. I lost the bass in 1994 due to my alcoholism and my addiction. I have been clean and sober since October 28 2007 and wanted to get another Ns2 I have dreamed about getting back into this club since then. And this one fell into my hands!I deeply regretted selling the first one This one sounds and plays just as great as the first one. I will get pictures up this weekend with the help of my sister I dont have a camera but i have a great Ns2. Priorities bass first camera later:hyper: I cant wait to have proof so i can get a number!

If you don't mind me asking, what was the sticker price? It would have had to have been priced ridiculously low to beat my GC Spector deal of a lifetime!

It was a little grimy when I got it, but it cleaned up pretty good ...
