Hmm, is the bass Graham is playing in this video the one he is selling?

YouTube - ‪Joe Jackson - Steppin Out - Live‬‏

It figures too that he is listed as in NJ for the auction. The town is about a half hour from me if that is where it would be shipped from.

Yeah... it looks that way to me. He's definately playing a pre-LX Euro Model (bridge is matte).

I'd be willing to put money on it that this is the same bass.

Way cool bass and piano version of "Stepping Out", BTW.

Agreed. You mustn't buy...

Lol...Don't be nervous, nervous! :hiding: No worries here. My next Spector bass will be the Coda 5. :bassist:
Good luck! I hope you're the winner! I'm watching it though...out of curiosity of how high it'll go. Hope you have a real good max on it! Cheers!

You raise an interesting question. What would one expect the 'celebrity premium' to be on an item of this sort? From what I have been able to find the current market on these basses is around $900.00 for the 35" CRFM era and a couple hundred more for the newer LX version, a very nice, mint condition white one of which was in the classifieds a week ago. Nice piece with a cool story but I think it's still sensible to bid with a clear head for something like this.

Hey Guys,
Thinking of selling my 2008 USA NS-2.
This is the bass on the Spector website!(see pic)
Not 100% sure but wanted to see if there is any interest.
I would want min.$2900
Looking to get a Spectorbird.
Thanks

If I hadn't just bought two new NS-2s... I'd be all over this one. I actually kicked myself for not getting it when you bought it.
Oh well... some things are not meant to be. But someone should jump on this. It's a beautiful USA NS-2.

Gosh that NS-2 sure is purdy. Wish I had the money! I'd jump all over that! Someone is gonna get a great bass at a great price!!!

Agreed. He's really a great bassist. He's got the three things l like... great timing, versatility and he plays a SPECTOR. What more could you want?
:D
+1 I caught a YouTube video duet of him playing his bass with Jackson playing piano...Saweeet sounds!!! I'm going to shop Amazon for a CD. After all it's Fathers day weekend.
Happy Fathers Day to all the fathers on here!

I missed a chance earlier this year on a sweet Spector Bass on an eBay buy now, fantastic low price, from an artist that used it for one recording session and didn't need it anymore. I hesitated, I lost out! Just because he's a celeb don't mean he won't sell cheap. Good luck!
