LOL. Anybody see the "USED SPECTOR 4 STRING BASS BLACK CHERRY" that has a picture of a 6-string Jackson electric?

They are all messed up with their photos and model descriptions. With GC you definatly need to call and confirm with the salesman.
Ask them to go get the item and ask them questions while they are holding it.
They have always been very nice when called no matter which one I called.

Example: 1 About a month ago there was a Euro Holoflash for $399. I called the store and it was actually a Performer. Its still up there.

Example: 2 The other day there was a Euro 5 for $599 which I called about and it was a ReBop 5. Still a decent price for a ReBop 5. Thats off the site already, it must have sold.

ReBop Update.

I received the BT Control circuit that I purchased from diechris the other day. (thanks again for the quick ship)
I installed it in my ReBop at 18Volts and so far I am enjoying the tone a whole lot more then the non-trim TonePump that was in there before.

I will play it for a while with the EMG HZs and keep looking for someone selling a Active EMG 35 set.

I put the non-trim TonePump in my Sunburst NS-2A. I will play that some more tonight to see if I like more then when it had the straight P/J Active EMGs.

Any one put a 35p or 40p in the neck and a DC in the bridge? Sounds like that might be a better combo than the 35p and 35j . Any thoughts?

I have a 40P and 40DC in my Rex5. I really like it over have both DCs but I think I'm just used to having a Pbass-ish tone in the neck now that I have a euro p-jazz.

I really don't have any complaints. It's seems to add more of that Spector "growl"

Yep that's what I was hearing. Been so long since I played anything other DC 's I kinda forgot just what a p did for a Spector. I was listening to some clips on you tube and the dc sounded a little fuller in the bridge than the j but still had the bite. I always run both pups on full so I don't care about soloing either pup. Got any sound clips?

My Rex with Hz's always had a good growl too. more so than my euros with dc's . Just a little awkward to play

This guy told me he assumed he was shipping to NC and that to NM it would be $50..

Yeah right. the eBay had no address on it, he only knew that there was an NC address after I told him NOT to send it to the paypal adress in NC... and I haven't sent payment yet.

I've shipped a bass from NC to Texas for $18.96 insured for $900.

I told him $500 flat or to go away. And he really has choice, he's already eaten $12 in eBay fees and will eat another $12 more or so. Haha. It's already listed as bought for $500.

:eyebrow:

$50 sounds cheap. I was at fed ex here in FL and to ship an acoustic in case to berkley in Boston was $133 without ins, and that was ground. It all goes on weight vs dimensions and which is more. Rates vary on which carrier you use also. I shipped a 90 lb box over night and it cost me $788! and that was on my account with a 15% discount! Odd size packages routinely cost me 70$ to ship ground. Sounds like you guys have your communications crossed and just need to get things straight. Don't sweat it, talk it through. $50 for a great deal on a bass isn't a bad thing for it to get there in one piece. Hell I spend 50$ in packaging on some things.

I shipped a bass... FedEx ground.. insured for $900, to Texas... from NC... for $18.96 That's the MOST i've EVER paid for shipping.

He's shipping through FedEx ground.. insured for $500. From NC to Albuquerque. No way.

My NS5CRFM was $16 shipping frmo NC to I think Pennsylvania, Insured for $700. FedEx Ground

My lakland was $18.05 or so.

He's in Carolina by the way.

I assumed I was shipping to NC.."
How exactly? eBay didn't list NC.. I never sent payment. This is after I tell him beware not to send to the paypal NC address.. prior to paying.
and your eBay listing isn't restricted to only NC people.. you should expect to ship anywhere

Not able to make clips at the moment. The hz werent as bad but I went with sgd dcs and they brought the bass to life.. Then I got the euro and there was that tone I couldn't get that I really wanted. I still don't have my Rex sounding exactly like my euro but that doesn't mean it doesn't still sound awesome lol., just different awesome of the same flavor.

I can see $50 being a good price if he's getting it professionally boxed and shipped ensured.

The point is also that he's raising it after a price has been agreed and eBay has ended the listing. Just before sending payment. Not happening.

He'll be eating almost as much in eBay fees if he has to relist it anyways.. Lol.

Assuming $7 for the first $1000 ins. Either you have one hell of a fed ex hook up, or your high. Go on line estimate the dimensions and weight and see what the costs are for yourself. You can always pre pay the actual costs your self right on the site. I can't send a 15 lb box across the state for $18 insured let alone a 40 + " box that weighs 25+ lbs clear across the country. You realize there over 1000 miles between the beginning of tx and the bottom of NM?

Well, not high, must have one hell of a hookup. LOL. I've never spent more than $20.

He's trying to squeeze in extra money after it's been agreed. He had NO knowledge of me living in NC so that point is automaticall invalid. ebay also listed $30.

Actually the point is valid. If you have a Paypal account or any banking account for the matter, your information needs to be current.

As previously mentioned, it looks as though the seller had a flat shipping rate on his auction. There really should be no issue of where it goes in the continental U.S., except, sellers need to ship to the Paypal confirmed address. It covers the seller as per Paypal terms and conditions.

These days, the majority of online retailers will only ship to the billing address. Ask GC to ship a bass, amp, etc anywhere other than the billing address and they will simply say 'NO'.

I believe you have a valid complaint about the shipping if it was a fixed rate. I would suggest contacting ebay if you cannot reach an agreement with the seller.

Oh and I want your hook up for shipping. For me to ship from NC to NM with a parcel of 30lbs (hard case) and dimensions of 51x17x6 with $500 of insurance.... $33.00. Btw, I have a Fedex account.

I've had a good number of basses shipped to/from Albuquerque all over the US. It has run as little as $25 for UPS to Dallas (no HSC - just a gig bag) to over $80 to CA. The last one I shipped to Nashville not long ago was an EBMM SR5 in a HSC with $1200 insurance for about $35 or $40 for FedEx Ground.

Maybe the seller did change it after the fact, but $50 to NM is not unreasonable from NC. Also, if you used eBay, the shipping is often calculated based on where they think you live, so the estimated shipping cost could have easily been calculated for NC.

BTW - I have my Euro5LX tentatively for sale (need an URB and some studio gear), and I'm in ABQ...
