And that Kramer....if the "inlays" & logo aren't decals, looks like Kramer went ahead & did something they weren't supposed to do & at a time when maybe they weren't even supposed to be around to do it?

If tha's the case, maybe they probably made only 100 or less, thinking they'd fade into obscurity...

just bought this on the weekend this thing feels different then all my other basses fenders jazz,p-basses,sting bass, and fender frankensteins, gibson les paul 90s,ibanez sr800,and a few others im probably forgeting.............yeah i believe the past owner installed emg's and im thinking on the preamp he probably didnt include one of the knobs so he put the input, as there is a place for the 1/4 input thats empty ...im going to look into adding a knob correctly into the preamp it plays and sounds killer as is!

im in los angeles i bought it in the studio city area i think the guy owned it for a while, the regular jack spot just has the hole which ill add the correct 1/4 input soon there, i like whatever the guy from queensryche had set up or pretty much what a top of the line spectors sport as pick ups and preamps as i want it to sound like a spector should cause i know i can ad some crazy pick ups and pre amps but i want to stick spector specs

Never seen one with 3 knobs and a jack on top. Is it wired passive?
Either way, that's a sweet looking Spector and welcome!

Richard G,
Just curious where in the US are you?

About a month back there was a NS-2A the same color with Alembic PU's in it. (with the 1/4 input jack on the top)
Being sold on craigslist in the Philly area.
Then it was at Guitar Center in a Philly suburb.
I am thinking this may be the same bass and the new owner put EMGs in it.

The regular input jack still works?

Either way for $225 it was a steal. These usually sell for around $425-$500. The EMG active PU's are actually worth around $100 themselves.

So you have plenty of room to do upgrades. :bassist: A EMG BT circuit or Spector TonePump will work very nicely. :D :bassist:
