Very nice... Congrats! !!
I'm holding out for a white one...

That's my next 4st will be a white euro or ns2a .

Amazes me how the eBay world considers basses with sanded necks to be in immaculate condition ! Lol And for 600 plus

I would however cr@p my pants for a ns2a in white with factory inlays .... But not that hack job we all talked about before .

I just found this Euro 4LX locally...very nice figuring in the poplar...BRAND NEW, not a mark on it.

Great find!
I'll assign your number tonight when I get home so I can check the roster and see what number is next.

Unless someone can see what the last number I gave out was in the thread. 256 I think was the last...
Anyone?... Iceboxbass, madbassplaya....:help:

I can't agree more! :hyper:
Looks like we'll be searching for the same machine! LOL

Hi Guys,

Great Club - immensely enjoying other discussions. Please see my contribution - My 1988 NS-2 with original fast neck. Was once owned by Mark Evans from AC-DC.. just some trivia. A beautiful instrument irrespective previous ownership ;-)

Will post more from collection soon.

Ciao,

*t

ARRGGHH!!!! That looks exactly like my first NS-2 that was stolen from our jam room back in the early 90's. I bought it brand new from Kramer and waited 6 months to get it. Been watching classifieds, newspapers, music stores, pawn shops ever since trying to find it. It had a distinctive chip in the finish and a serial number in the 1300's. Major bummer....

*tash -- Gorgeous bass with a cool history!!

We're about to lose our current rehearsal space and will hopefully be renting a space in a building with 3 other bands. That thought has crossed my mind though. I think the Spectors will go home with me. The rig is probably too heavy for anyone to think about stealing.

How do you like the BBs? I'm eyeing them for my next string change and I'm curious if the G string is mellower than a naked Sunbeam G.

Anyone else who has experience with them chime in, as well, please! ETA: Playing a Legend Custom, and saw some comments that the BBs didn't work well with passive pups. True? or will the active EQ make them sing?

Can't speak to the "naked G-String" question... :hiding:

However, the BBs are great. I have them on two basses where I can bypass the preamp and find the tone completely acceptable when passive. One is swamp ash, the other maple; both are 5'ers with maple/maple necks. Active, they are even more dynamic.

For those that feel EMG pickups sound a bit harsh or shill on the top end, I recommend slapping a set of these on. Smooths the tone nicely. Of course YMMV and no two instruments are the same, but I say give em' a shot. :)

Beautiful refin, Bob. Been waiting to see what you were gonna do with that. I'm not much of a fan of natty finishes but that's an example that could make me change my tune real quick. Great work, bro
Thanks! Originally I was going to have it painted, but I decided to see what i could do with it. There were some nasty dents that took quite some time to steam and sand out. While it's certainly not perfect, I think it turned out pretty cool and the BQC really rocks in this one. As to natty finishes, Invalid Link Removed will make you change your tune. :D

Definitely take them home. Our rehearsal space was an old recording studio and we were the only ones in there. We left for 15mins and someone forgot to lock the door. Whoever it was went through all my cases to find that one bass and took it without the case. They even passed on the bright yellow Kubicki sitting out on the stand. Weird circumstances.

Sad.

No Doubt....We have a festival type event tomorrow. Out of four bands, we play second. I'm debating on just putting my bass temporarily in the trailer and getting it when we leave, or leaving in my truck, or just holding onto it...probably going in the trailer til time to go.

I'd hang on to it if I were you. At least you know it can't be stolen out of your own hands.

Thought I'd post a vid of AJ Lewandowski's doing what he does best with his Euro 5LX.

A Loathing Requiem - Architect or Arsonist on bass guitar - YouTube

I couldn't care if you're a fan of death metal or not, either way AJ is a fantastic player that needs more attention for his talent, thankfully he's endorsed by Spector already.

I have been watching his videos the past few months and he really is an amazing player. Do you know if he comes on Talk Bass at all? It would be great to have him in the Spector club here.
