Spector Club - Part 14

worshiprocker,

Samick made guitars for various manufacturers over the years. They were at the tail end of the demise of Kramer. The knobs are more parallel with the strings and the headstock has sharper corners than the first NS-2As or NS-2.

Evil_Undead,

I really don't have any issue with neck dive for my Rebop 4 or 5. And they sit comfortably using my Comfort Strapp (you can get Spector branded ones at the Spector store)

My Rebop 4 isn't quite 8 lbs, and my 5 is just about at 9lbs. Compared to the Fender Jazz I used to have - it's a welcome difference in weight (it was over 11lbs), even 2 or 3lbs makes a difference, as I'm sure you well know, over a 4-5 gig.

Oh god... you guys are gonna beat me up in a minute, but I have more questions

Someone has offered me a Spector Rebop for quite a reasonable price - but it seems heavy for a Rebop 5 at 9.8 lbs - is this a normal weight, or would I be better looking for another one that's lighter?

Secondly, I've heard that the Rebops are neck heavy, and dive quite a lot - is this correct?

My former ReBop 5 DLX had neck dive but it wasn't annoying. Just used a 3 1/2" strap to slow it down. It was pretty light but the balance wasn't quite right...unlike a Euro 5.
