Ha! Back in 1999 when the 5's went 35" scale with inlays I ordered one through the Musicians Friend store we had here in Vegas at the time (later turned Guitar Center). They had to order it. I ordered Blue Stain.

Guess what showed up....Black Stain. Turns out they were/are both abreviated in their computer systems as "BS". :eyebrow:
I couldn't hang with the black though and they ended up switching it (3 more days of waiting....Grrrrrr).

I wonder if that's actually factory paint though. The Spector website has Gloss White under the Special Order heading for finishes. I just wonder if GC saw that, threw in the word "custom" to make it more appealing to buyers. If someone wanted a white Euro, I don't why they wouldn't have just order white, instead of getting another finish and painting over it. My money is on the fact that that is probably factory.

The Barts don't appeal to me either, but based on other Euro 5s I've seen on GC, there's no markup on the bass just for those. Most all I've seen in good shape are priced at $999.

Man, once I graduate with this Master's i'm done with school for a while. The only way I'll pursue my PhD is to teach at the collegiate level.

I'll be around the Conway area most likely.

Yea, I'd like to find a Rebop 5 for a good deal.

Understood. But I saw it as having to factor in another $200 to buy EMG's so it had that added amount brought it higher than the going amount. Sure, I could possibly sell the Barts and make some money but I would also have to pay a luthier to get them installed as well. You see the madness of my mind now and I get all of these racing thoughts going through my head :)

I tend to set my pbass pup at 95% and my jazz on full with a bass boost and about half the boost of the bass for the treble. My amp has the hi-mids and bass slightly boosted with the treb slightly cut

I used to play with th ebass boosted 100% and the high boosted at about 25% both pickups always on full , or blend at the center.

Lately I've been trying to keep the bass neutral and get more out of the amp. I basically copied Mike Starr's settings (from BNW) on my SVT2P. But I like the bass boosted more than what he has. That makes me wonder though if he cranked the bass boost on the bass to help drive the head some. sounds a little thin with the bass on the amp at noon ish.

I've been playing around with DC/DC and P/DC combos too (ns200 with Haz copy). I'm torn though. The P has some bark in there It's a little fuller and less edgy that a straight P/J combo. The P has some cool punchy bottom end. The DC/DC defiantly has some growl, good bottom and strong hi mids compared to the P/DC combo. The I have yet to run the DC/DC combo at practice , or high volume yet (just got a second DC in).

But the guys at practice are loving the Spectors , let me tell ya!

I would wear it, I need a new Spector shirt soon too.

As I wrote on Facebook, I love the new Color Scheme, but would prefer the front to be the back and back to be the front.
