just out of sheer curiosity, to what extent can you customize a spector from the factory??? im thinkin along the lines of warwick (pardon the taboo word) custom shop kind of offerings???

If it can be done to a bass, I'm fairly sure they'd do it for the right price- The US one at least. The Czech factory may be more of a "mix and match options" sort of thing.
Interesting, so one would be better off buying and modifying from there if their pockets aren't deep enough for a US model

Lol although I do enjoy warwicks, If I was going to get a bass in the ns curved body shape (which I would very much like to do) it would be a spector over a warwick streamer, I just had a few ideas in my head as far as pickups and peramp without outzing about with warranty issues later

Beat me by $11! Although mine was brand new, non-B-stock.Hands down, I have to have the cheapest Spector on TalkBass.
An amazing "Stupid Deal" from MF, it was a B-Stock with alignment and doomsday setup problems that I was eventually able to correct. It cost me $168, delivered.

Sure!!!! I was thinkin black/clear shelled q-tuners into an Aguilar obp-3 with volume and blend (no stackpot, a big part of my motivation for a factory custom was the extra drilling required) and a hipshot d-tuner, in a flamed maple/black matte 5 string euro lx... One can dream right?

Actually, it's a pretty cool looking 5'er (if only it didn't have that pesky 'M'...). Enjoy it, mrpillow!
At the 3rd fret is an 'M', its the Mike Kroeger signature model (Nickelback, yech!!!!), but I got it over the regular Legend for the all passiveness, plus I like the matte finish!
Get to find out how it sounds at practice today. The action came great from the store, intonation is set, B just needs to be raised a tiny bit. Overall it feels amazing, can't wait to hear it through my amp!

yeah, i dig it. i just don't like the big M at the 3rd fret. and it's not because of who it's for. it just looks out of place with no thought put into it. too bad it's not "painted" on and easily sanded off.

I got it about a week ago from DGbass70 and I LOOOOVE it! Can I get a number?
Is there a guide to putting the EMGs in these? Ive never installed pickups but I went out and got a soldering gun and stuff cause I dont wanna pay someone to do it for me.
