That's an NS2C for clarification in that auction.

The other auction ending quickly doesn't surprise me. In 20+ years of being a Spector nut, that's the first Kramer NS5 I've ever seen for sale.

Which is why I want a new Euro! With a nice wood top. But alas, I have this BEAT UP NS5CRFM.

I figure it's okay to repost my pictures since I haven't in a while. I'm member 144 and I can't remember which rendition of the Spector Club I posted them in! My lovely NS2000/Q4 in all it's glory.

It's a real shame I had odd strings on (and a missing screw) at the time because the pictures are so nice. Right now it's strung with a set of Circle K strings for drop B tuning and I love it. I need to get a screw for the truss rod cover, and two or three for the control plate.

I could probably use a new case (or at least handle):

I have a pair of EMG DC's sitting in my closet waiting to go into it. I've been holding off because I'm told the wiring may be a little complicated, although everyone else seems to manage just fine. I'm still not 100% sure if I want to change the preamp in it. You know, I don't really mind it at all, I just wanted to swap out the HZ's! I was considering a BQC system in it, but the Aguilar preamps tempt me.

Where I live you don't really see Spectors, aside from the occasional one played in a touring band. No stores carry them. Before purchasing this I had never played one, but I knew I needed one. Now that I have it, I could never let it go. I fully intend on getting another one or two this year... or, maybe three. Who knows?!

So...no NAMM suggestions? I'd like to go on Sunday, PJ told me it's open to the public - but getting a visitor pass? Anyone? Patrick?

I want to see if I can meet up with PJ, JP and maybe Nicki Tedesco (if she stops by) - maybe Mr. Irvine too.

Gah! How do I get tickets/passes?

AFAIK Winter NAMM is not open to the public.

Summer NAMM has a public day though.

Very nice! I just about bought one off GC in Nov. How's it play and sound? I had to have a PJ so I bought a NS-2A instead. :D

This is so true.... I kinda wish I had never played a USA model... there is definitely a feel of playing the USA compared to EURO that is noticeable. To me at least, I know some that say the difference is minimal.

I want my next Spector to be a USA but that all depends on my current needs... I might want to get a second euro as backup.

I haven't played a Euro in a while, and even before then I owned the NS4CRFM, which is albeit small, but different than the current Euro line. However they are no slouches. I think it's interesting some of their big endorsers actually use Euro's on tour vs. USA models. Robbie Merrill and Rex (in his BP Mag Nov. '10 he says in conjunction with the new RXT he's been taking the Euro NS-2s out for AOTS shows) both play Euro's mainly a lot now, that I've seen.
But I wouldn't trade my NS-5XL for the NS5CRFM I used to have, even if it were Rex-free... ;) Just has an "it" factor that's hard to describe.

Oh, man. It plays perfectly and sounds pretty damn good. I'm sure it will get better when I get the pickups in it!

I think the reason I didn't install it yet is because the Quick Connectors from the HZ's and the DC's are different size. I couldn't just drop them in. The HZ connector has five prongs, while the DC connector has seven. I was bummed.

dont get me wrong... I love the EURO line. Im just saying that I wouldnt have believed the USA could live up to the hype until I actually tried one.

Its really like saying "better" and "betterER" lol

Exactly. I totally "got" the USA-made stuff, especially the original Brooklyn vibe thing when I got NS2 #954.
