Yeah... the numbers are something you have to be patient about. But they do eventually come.

I'd like to say that anyone who loves SPECTOR basses can be a member... if not with an official number; definately in spirit and in the way of participating.

If that makes sense.

I interviewed a guitarist for "ALL THINGS SPECTOR" two days ago who sat amazed at the tonal range of the ARC6... we were playing it side-by-side with a Les Paul Classic and American-Standard Strat...

When I asked him if the versatility of the ARC6 surprised him he said, "Not really, I mean, I've known about SPECTOR basses for as long as I've been playing... and there is like this cult of bassists who'll tell you they are the best you can get. Like a secret society or something."

And I laughed. I don't want SPECTOR to be the best kept secret anymore. I want SPECTOR to be the name everyone thinks of first when they think of quality and tone.

I've owned 3 spector basses (1 Euro 4LX and 2 CRFM 5's) for a number of years. I think I'm past due to officially be in the Spector owners club.

OK all you SPECTOR® fans...

A new fan site at www.spectorcentral.com will launch this week at NAMM.

A very cool part of this site will be an ongoing documentary project where I invite anyone who plays and loves SPECTOR® guitars to make a short (think YouTube... so under 14 minutes) video documenting the first time you heard/saw or played a SPECTOR® . I want to know what made you want to play one and why you feel the way you do about them.

Links to the first videos that will be available at the launch of this website on Wednesday are available below.

And the graphic I talk about in the invitation video is also linked below.

I really hope some of you decide to participate. I want to create a large collection of SPECTOR® Stories for the world to see.
