Looks pretty cool. The splatter graphic doesn't really appeal to me, but without it the black/red colour combo is pretty nice.

Anyone try it? Does it have a different neck compared to a normal Euro LX 5?

That Webster Bass is great!

Much better than I thought it could look. JP did a really good job with the splatter there.


It's quite hard to get a splatter graphic to look good... See the Dan Jacobs ESP Signature... ugly as hell..

Yeah, I think it looks nice and succeeds in fitting the bass and not controlling the entire outlook of it (subtle would be the right word I think). I'm just not into graphics in basses (or guitars) in general.

A well placed sticker on the other hand...

Yours, ultra amber, was the one that caught my eyes first...that's a beautiful bass! Congrats!!!

Wow! The red splatter along with the red fret markers really sets the black a blazing!!! Awesome job JPS!

I just picked-up a beautiful 1983 NS-2, and I will be requesting to join this club very soon.

Several of you guys here in the Spector Club were very helpful to me during my search and I am thankful for your friendly counsel.

Question:

Going through my inspection now and the neck seems fine and the truss rod seems to operate with appropriate tension. But, the end of the rod is sticking out from the nut (see photo).

Curious, does this look correct for an early Spector NS-2?

Heres a question that has been on my mind for a while. When not using your bass do I need to turn all volume/tone knobs all the way to off so I don't drain the battery? I'm newer (2 1/2 yrs) to bass playing and I just would like know that I'm not putting a drain on the bat. Thanks!

Yes, it helps save your battery plus your not annoying people with random clunking. As mentioned, unplug it when you're done and you're good.

Yes. It's like an Ian Hill Euro4LX model. The neck is thinner, front to back.
