Spector Club - Part 7

That ultra amber really brings out the quilt. Great looking bass!

It's a different type of Quilt Maple called "Tube Quilt" Not your standard AAAA Quilt maple.

I felt bad. There was an amazing NS-4 in AAAA Quilt (Black Cherry) sitting next to it the entire show and it was all but ignored.

That NS-2 is beautiful. The Exhibitors can enter the arena at 8am... everyone else at 10am. I got there at 8 and had about half an hour to actually play before everyone else started showing up.

I played that NS-2. Its action is set up perfectly. It's a beast.

Todd may end up keeping this one and not putting it in his store. :eyebrow:

Yeah, I haven't made up my mind yet on the ultra amber. It is such an incredible piece. I truly believe Stuart is making some of the best Spector's of his career right now. Just the right combination of woods, finish and the best crew at the shop.

At the store we have serial number one of the limited edition II NS5H2 and I was blown away how beautiful it was. You can check it out at: Link Removed

I TOTALLY agree. But you and I spoke about this "Golden Age" at the show.

I didn't see Evan Seinfeld's NS-2 until we were crating everything up after the show (he was supposed to pick it up at the show and didn't make it). He ordered a gloss black USA NS-2 in the tube quilt (standard Pau Ferro fingerboard) that blew my mind.

I'm seriously gassing for one of those now. It was perfect.

JP, I'm just spotting a bunch of awesome things on your shelf! :D

Lightsabers!! And is that Connor MacLeod's Katana in the corner? :bassist:

Yeah... I've acquired some movie props over the last few years of working in Hollywood.

That is Connor MacLeod's sword.
And a screen-used Obi-Wan (Episode II) and an all-original Obi-Wan/Luke (Episode 4 - A New Hope).
There's also a nice view of my Last Cruisade Holy Grail (shelf above the AKIRA book... in the center) and the dagger from "The Shadow".
You can't see my Raiders of the Lost Ark "Idol"... you know... "Throw me the Idol I'll throw you the whip"...
That sort of thing.
The really cool thing here is the vase in the glass case... it's 2000 years old. There's a 65% chance it was made while Jesus Christ was alive.
Cool huh?

Excellent pics. I can't wait to see/read reviews on all those badboys.

My RXT looks just as :hyper::hyper: as I'd hoped!

Funny, your RXT was the talk of the show really. Everyone, myself and Todd Cooke (if I can speak for you here) said the same thing... photos just don't do it justice. It looks larger in photos and it's actually a really nice weight. It also looks a little bulge heavy, as in the upper horn in those photos, but in person it's a really, really smart-looking bass. And the neck is really nice. It has a great profile (as Rex himself commented on).
I think it's the angle it's been shot at. I'm going to try and get photos that really show off how nice looking this bass is.
