Spector Club - Part 8

lawls.

Glad phat's legend found a home! I was very tempted, but I dont like the way the treble control on OBP preamps sound (kinda thin, really high frequency treble), compared to on a tonepump or spector 9V tone control.
Thats weird for me to hear because I was thinking the treble on the Tone Pumped Euro 6 I just acquired sounds like it's voiced much higher than the OBP-1'd Euro4 and Legend 6 I'm sending to OneMoreRobot. Hmmm.....

I run the Euro4's OBP-1's treble and bass at about 40% with the EMG PJ's.
To run the EMG DC'd Euro 6 LX at about the same tone level I have to run the (old style, no trim) Tone Pump at about 10-15% on both treble and bass.

Hmmm.....
Stocking up for Armageddon, are we???? :eyebrow:

:D:D:D

Perhaps... Haha. Your bass was just too good of a deal. I wanted a well-priced Spector Legend 6, and as you can tell by my other basses I'm a sucker for natural wood with black hardware.

That specific Zebop makes me like Zebrawood for some reason. It looks like its way more than just a top though?

Every Zebop I picked up looked like it was made of some fake wood lookalike haha

Nope, it's a top on an alder body. I'll get a pic of the back soon. The whole bass is beautiful, even the back!

It may be the EMG pickups behave differently with the preamp, I have only used OBP preamps with passive pickups now that I think about it. Or maybe the OBP-1's frequency range is different than the OBP-2 and OBP-3 I have used. Guess I shouldn't generalize.

Well I've got mine tuned to G# C# F# B E (3 notes down) and I love the tension. I guess if I got halves .45-.130 I wouldn't be too floppy (compared to now. It's not near as floppy as it sounds!)
