You guys need to watch eBay more.
About 3 weeks ago a guy with good feedback posted a white one that looked in fine shape for a $600, no reserve, opening bid.
No one bid. No re-list (so far).

This isn't uncommon on these. A few months ago there were 3 listed at around the same time for about $689 a piece. I don't remember if they all sold.

The market demand on these doesn't seem to match the higher prices many are listing these for.

I obviously have no need to troll eBay for one. The whites seem to be what shows up on the bay. Blacks and naturals did pop up regularly for a while, but haven't seen them lately. The bass did list for $2099...so to get it for under $1000 is good in my book.

Not if you're willing to needlessly pay upwards of $1000 for one (or invoke that whole Spector endorsee thing that not all of us have at our disposal ).

Yes, there are a lot of white ones (which seem to be the most popular, so.....). But most of the one's that are posted for what would be around the normal area of $1500 street are white also and those don't seem to even get a sniff, so I'm not sure of your economic point, if there was one.

Bottom line, it looks like they over estimated the demand for a reissue of this model, or at least it's market price point to be successful. A few seemed to sell at normal retail when they first came out, but then fell off quickly.

I'm a Spector lover and even I really have little desire for one of these. I almost popped for the $600 one only because it was white, had JJ's (something different) and.....was $600. But even that wasn't enough to sway me (or anybody else at the time apparently). Plus, I have to have quick release so the bridge would have had to be changed anyway (which is why, unless it's an unbelievable deal, I will probably never own a BadAss bridged Spector....or I'll just flip it).

Pay what you want, but "trolling" eBay is simply using all the tools available to intelligently get the best deal.

Hey Phat: Actually bought it through Sam Ash. With that being said, I agree that Spector totally overestimated the demand, but they are something different and if someone wants one they should totally "troll" eBay or any other avenue for them, and grab it for the best price they can get. Just giving an opinion. I didn't "research" it because I don't feel I have to. Someone else should.

Actually, there were two recently.
One like this Forte 4 and a Forte 5X.
Both at around $1400 asking.
I heavily considered the Forte 5X.....then the Wife intervened.
