Spector Club - Part 8

here's minez
its a korean made from back in the 90's thats really nice. 3 piece neck through. i replaced the electronics with real emg's and the emg preamp. just had her professionally set up and plays as good as a high end bass that i own. sounds sweet with the upgraded electronics.
also, hunidity drastically changed here in the last week or so. this is my only bass that didnt need a truss rod adjustment. all the rest have one piece necks though, i guess that 3 piece was worth it.
do i get a number?

Thats an NS-2A yeah? Do you still have the original preamp you replaced around somewhere or did you get rid of it? I love them myself.

Over a month with my Euro 4LX. Blows my mind how much better I sound, how much easier it is to play tough licks. Also, how perfect the tone is. Whenever I have an idea of a sound, I can dial it in from the bass knobs without having to touch anything else. And this is on the TonePump preamp that everyone seems to hate!

Taking it in tomorrow for a proper setup. I can do my own setup but I like to have the first one done by a pro so I can have a reference point of what it's supposed to sound like. It's close to perfect but that damn locking bridge is a killer for someone with little patience.

Gorgeous! I just love the look of the natural wood of the neck-thru...the way it looks so naked! Very nice! :D

not sure what you're referring to here... its definately not a kramer era bass (edit: it is a kramer era bass, see post below). i was at all the kramer going out of business sales in their parking lot when i was in high school. this bass is from after that, from the end of my college years. its a korean made during a time when stuart spector had a business partner and was still using a warehouse here in neptune, so there may have been some affiliation with the origional karamer people, but its from a time when kramer was long gone. i got the bass directly from one of the owners of the business at that time. stuart had partners then

oops, just got info on my bass its the NS2A import from the kramer years as indicated on this page [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

i got it in the mid to late 90's, new old stock. it was sitting in a wearhouse in neptune for a number of years. i guess when kramer went belly up they had some inventory left that they couldnt move. i knew one of the partners, thats how i got it. i actually had 2 of these. the red one that i modified with emg's and a black one that i had made fretless by phil petillo.

Back then, I was in a extreme metal band called Incineration (Link Removed)
But these days, I'm playing in a thing called Hercules Approved... it's more "proggy" than anything

Thanks for the compliment on the bass. I really love that thing... it's downright sexy ;)

It is a Euro... does that make it not a NS? I've never really looked into the model numbers thing... yeah, I've been slackin. I thought it was an NS because that's what they had it marked as on the price tag. I do know that it was a lot cheaper than a USA made one lol.

... please don't think less of me. I still love my Spector. I don't care who made it.

It's NS styled but a "Euro 6 LX" is just that (I have one :D).
NS6 is the USA counterpart's designation. :)
