Not sure, Seems to me the last set I bought had the springs and screws but no foam.
Foam can be of your preference, though. I used some open cell foam from a broken chair cushion that worked pretty good......

Anytime I have bought pickups they have never come with foam, once or twice they came with springs to go on the screws, but that was it. Most of the stuff I use I just find around from all sorts of junk so no real suggestions for where to get it.

Went down to Seattle a couple of weeks ago and got the Forte 4 model. I dig the "no frills" version, well, that and the fact that I couldn't afford any US models

Sorry this took so long.
Had a lot of gigs since this arrived on Friday. Also a couple of pics with it's little (older) brother.

After several tweeks and re-tweeks I got her playing pretty dreamy.
Although this bass is overall superior, it really makes me appreciate how well built my Legend 6 is at it's price point.

Do I here a plug for the sale of your Legend6? ;D. I'm always surprised at how much lower the resale price on the Legend 6 compared to 4s or 5s.

About this Friday my bass ships from Spector, it'll be in Germany end of next week, and in my hands a week later!
Thats two and a half weeks from now and I CAN'T WAIT

MAN it IS getting spring! The neck of my Rebop goes into standup mode, been twiddling with the truss rod all week!

Question for you guys...

I working on a Spector Legend 4 project bass. I am hoping to refinish it, change the color, electronics, etc.

I haven't had any experience with the NS2000 basses, but was wondering if anyone here has. Particularly the neck through 4 strings. Are the comparable to the Lengends, or better, or worse?

Just curious to see if i should spend the time on the Legend or spring on a NS2000/4 if i can snag one for a pretty good price.

Cool bass. What is up with the B string?

I use D'Addarios.
As far as 35" scale Spectors go, on a normal Long Scale set the outer winding of the B doesn't make it over the nut (although I've heard they may have extended it 1/4" recently which would work).
The problem with the Super Long Scale set is the outer winding is too long and begins to hit the tuning post. Thus messing up your tuning gear ratio and causing pitch instability. I made these little spacers that back the string up about 3/4" so the outer winding doesn't start to wrap around the post.
I had to do this on the Legend 6 also, although you don't see it on the earlier pix.

I'm always surprised at how much lower the resale price on the Legend 6 compared to 4s or 5s.

It's just because 4's and 5's are more popular/common. Takes a real man to play a 6.

I figure my shipped w/case asking price with the $400 in upgrades is pretty cheap at this point. I'd probably come out better if I just parted out the pups and pre and stuck the cheap pups and pre back in it.

Ive tried a couple of 6s this passed week just to see what was up.
What I did enjoy was the possibility of nicer and bigger chords. But that's really about it.
If anything, again, it would be for experimenting.

Your offer is still quite tempting, but I know shipping and border fees will add at least 150$ to the bill... Even though the Canadian dollar was been hovering just above the American for a little while now (I was tempted to buy out most of Guitar Center this weekend in Boston just because).

I must admit I almost liked my NS/2004 more than my current Euro4. It had a great neck and sounded very good stock. Great build quality all around. Good finish. Graphite rods in the neck. It was made in the Cort factory and does not have the same cool factor but is still an above average instrument in its own right.
