My bass finally came yesterday. I was a little anxious as some of you had posted that you thought a mark on the body may have been a cigarette burn. I'm happy to report that it's not :hyper: I actually thought the bass was going to be a little beat up considering that the previous owner pulled it from a pawn shop before posting it on ebay. Other than a few very minor cosmetic imperfections, this bass is in great shape.

That's just an odd mark...is it a knot or inclusion in the wood or just part of the spalting? I've just never seen an almost perfectly circular patch like that. Beautiful bass regardless though! At the price you paid for it, I'm almost mad that I didn't get it! I do have some consolation though in that I was able to trade my Lakland for a very unique 5LX-EX (extra thick piece of walnut, EMG BQC pre)...they're almost twins! :D

I thought about that too. I emailed Spector to find out if they had any info on the bass. I figured they would know best if it was reported stolen. Hopefully it hasn't been though. Although if it wasn't, I feel really bad for the poor sole who pawned this beauty for less than $300!

I just bought a NS-5H2-FM from adam on bass! It took a little longer than I would have liked, due to a holiday weekend and my ignorance of Paypal, but he was patient and great to deal with. :cool:

It says NS-2H5, but I'm fairly sure that's because it's "one of the first of this model".

I picked up a real spector for my first time at Sam Ash today, I played a Rebob in cherry and Zebrano top. I really liked both, especially how they felt very lightweight while still seeming like a solid instrument. I liked the tone of the Zebrano better, however.

I've been interested in a Legend 4 Custom for a while, should i just wait to get a Rebop or is the construction very similar? (by that i mean is a rebop worth the additional $500 or so). i'm kind of liking the idea of a set neck. and what are the major electronic differences, in terms of tone?
