Spector Euro 4 LT vs LX

I have been obsessing over the Euro 4 LX ever since I played one about a year ago. They don't have any near me to do a head to head, but before plunking down three times as much as I have ever paid for a bass guitar, I am waffling between the LX and LT.
LX - This is the one I played. I prefer the matte finish over high gloss, mostly for the neck but I also don't like fingerprints and smudges. What I loved the most was the sound, which would have been the EMG and the TonePump.
LT - The colors in the high gloss version are way cooler in my opinion. If I'm going to spend 3K I'd better love looking at it... That said, it does have nicer tuners (not a deal breaker) and the biggest difference would be the bartolini PUPS.
In recent years I have transitioned from a 90s crisp metallic sound to a warm middy 60s soul sound. That's the best I can describe it.
So, while the sound of the LX is what I fell in love with, I've never compared directly to the LT and short of driving 3 hours to sweetwater, I'm looking for some insights (particularly on the PUP sound, and the glossy neck vs matte) to keep me from second guessing a very expensive decision. All comments welcome! One final disclaimer: I am a long time mediocre bass player, this beautiful instrument far exceeds what I really need, but it sure would be fun to play.

One additional thought - Would there be any drawback to having the set up re-wired from separate volume knobs to a blender and a single volume?
That's what I did, replaced the Tonechump with an Auderes Classic. 1 pup blend, one volume, I e stacked bass/treble,.one stacked midrange. I like how the tone controls and balance are notched in the center positions. The tone controls are true flat when in the center, which is what I wanted.

I'm in the same dilemma.
