Spector NS Dimension 5 string - sterile sounding or not ?

Hi Bassists, anyone with a NS Dimension 5 string multi scale bass ? Was wondering I’d the sound is too sterile , clinically clean ? Seems like midrange is almost non existent in nearly all the video demos I’ve heard. Yes I know I am not listening in a pure enviroment for sound quality but would just like people’s opinion who have one or heard of one ,of the midrange growl. Opinions for a multi scale bass r welcomed as well. Thanx

I've had a Spector NS Dimension 5 since August. I found the transition to multiscale to be easy with the trickiest area being g string close to the nut. Straightaway, I changed the tuners to res-o-lites (like many others have) and find it mitigates the neck dive nicely. Relative to tone, I also restrung right away with Kalium SS (Medium .136" Multi/Trad). Words about tone are tough and for calibration, my other "main" bass is Warwick Streamer $$4 (typically with DR SS Low Riders). I find the tones from the NS Dim5 to be very versatile and would not call them sterile. Does it have midrange growl? I think most folks would say Warwick Streamers have sweet midrange growl, and relative to it, I don't find the NS Dim5 lacking growl at all. That said, I find SS vs. Nickel strings matter for this, and I can only speak for SS.
