Spector vs music man bass

I’ve owned many models of both including a few US made Spectors. The NS2 ergonomics make it the most comfortable bass to play to me. I currently own a Stingray Special and it’s my workhorse, but I’d buy another Euro at a good price in a heartbeat. There are so many good pickup/preamp combos on Spectors now that you can just about make what you want. My 2 cents is but used and get both. If you’re going to own a PJ, Spector is the one.

You're totally right. The OP was looking to bake-off a Spector vs a Musicman and I never even considered that he might want to spending $2k+ on a passive Pbass from a company famous for their iconic active humbuckers. #NiceCatch

Not necessarily. He could always get a Cutlass or a Caprice, if that's the tone he'd like.

I'd buy used as many have mentioned especially if you're not sure which one to get and asking here. There's a big chance you'll sell it and then loose $$$ because you bought it brand new. This is my opinion and it's your money of course. Good luck w/ the search and post pics when you get either or both
