Spector vs warwick

I've made a decision and (drumroll)
Warwick Is the winner
I played three spectors and two warwicks and while spectors controls where better I couldnt stand the larger neck width on it I lost alot of accuracy and speed. It also limited my transitions from string to string and it made it harder to play songs that used multiple strings

I reread your post... its not a company rivalry as much as a spector vs streamer rivalry...

No I dont know either of them but I have talked to someone who personally knows Wilfer. If that makes much of a difference

I've had an old Streamer I and an NS2 and I liked the Spector more in pretty much all ways, but the Wick had a nice bite to it.

I wish I had them both again to see how I like them now since tastes change over time.

Played an NS-2 for a while back in the 90s, parted ways with it (huge regret) searched for another which is how I came across my first Warwick (Streamer I 4 with Bart soapbars) Went on to a Streamer II 5 and I've been playing one ever since. In my quest for a serious bass to fill in at rehearsals, I came across a used Spector Legend Custom 5, while not in the same arena as my Streamer II, I love it nonetheless. Of all the basses I've played in my search, the Spector is the only one I found that can compare to the Streamer in terms of familiarity, providing that solid precision feel that I'm so fond of. I'm not comparing as there is a $3000 disparity in retail price between the two. I will also say the Spector definitely holds it's own against basses costing twice as much, but you guys already know this. While the precision and trusty feel of the Warwick is evident on the Spector, there is a huge disparity in tone between the two.. If Spectors growl, then Warwicks Howl.. Time to shop for Pickups and preamp. If there is such thing as a proper tool for every job regarding basses then I've found all I need in these two..

Mudvayne, metallica, meshuggah, 311, limp bizkit( even if you don't like them, they have a awesome sound), and alot more im not going to name off there entire roster. The NS may have come first but Warwick perfected it IMO. The SSII is one of the nicest sounding bases ever made.
