Spectorbasses, question

Does anyone know if there's a big difference in quality between the USA/European models and the ones made in Korea? The Korean one's are much cheaper. Shouldn't the EMG pickups be the same as well as the rest of the bass?

Someone offered me a European black 5-stringer from 98, for abor 625$, it looks good on the pictures. But I'm thinking of a 6-stringer and there were two Koreans (one year old) for about 1000$.

Well, this is in Sweden, so I don't know if 1000$ is expensive here, in this case. But maybe 625$ for the 5-stringer is a better price since it's a European model, even though it isn't a 6-stringer.

Yeah dude, $1000 for a Q6 is a RIP OFF! you can get one of those used for $500 easily. I just bought a Spector Legend 6-string for even less than that.

Take the 5-string Euro!!! It's a way better bass for a better price!!!!

The USA and European models are hand over fist better than the Korean models. Even the Rebop models are way better than the Korean 'Q' series or 'Legend'. So why did I buy a Legend-6? Because they don't make a Euro-6 or Rebop-6. Legend-6 is the best 6'er (Spector) you can get without going to a USA bolt-on or neck through, which are easily 6-10 times as much.

firkinahsoul: you should help me put pressure on PJ to get them to make a Euro-6. I already told him I would buy 2 if they would make them, maybe if there's more interest they'll consider it.

let me know how long it takes to get that legend! i gave up waiting last month . i found a mint cirrus 5 and this baby rocks!! for 700.00 the legand 5 was 599.99 . spector still
make nice basses but i would rather have the neck thru
18 volt usa bass. but the legand is a very nice bass for the
buck!! :bassist:

We should keep buggin him about that, do you know anyone else who wants a Euro 6? Maybe if we can get enough 'pre-orders' they'll do a special order of them.

I'm getting the Legend-6 in Bubinda, like the picture on the site :)
