I think it's pretty cool that it's the first discovered family in over 100 years.

In the U.S., yes, but the article states that a new spider was identified in South Africa in 2000.

    Better than a Trololoraptor...

  9. ...the Trololoraptor would be a lot more popular on the Internet.

  10. They hang from their web and hope to catch something that runs into it. OMFG!!!! GETITOFFGETITOFFGETITOFF!!!

    Peace,
    Greg

Possibly. But seeing one actually perform in person would send me into therapy for a few years at least..

  13. It would have an interesting mating call, I can imagine.
The troglraptor would probably scare the living daylights out of me though.

  14. The Trololoraptor's mating call could be interesting...
The Troglraptor in action would probably make me wet myself. In terror.

Luckily I'm not a huge arachnophobe. I actually wanted to see the claws on the ends of it's legs. :D

That's a pretty awesome looking spider. Loving the claws. Although I would probably run away from it if I ever saw it. I'm not afraid of pictures of spiders...but they freak me out when in my vicinity.
