Ok, jesting and silly puns aside, why are they called barking spiders; do they make a barking sound, do they hang out in the bark of trees? Educate me Slobake.

Barking spiders make sounds that sound an awful lot like flatulance. I have never seen one but I do hear them sometimes. They are stinky little critters too. My wife thinks they don't exist.

As long as I don't see them, I'm fine. Once I can see them and there is a chance that one will crawl on me, I'm outta there.

I hate spiders. I kill them in the house and yard but only during summer when they are over running the place. If they are small enough and not nasty looking I will show them the door especially at work. If I have to I will suck them up the vacuum cleaner then replace the bag. Let them get out the hole in the bag if they want outside. Ewwwww.

EDIT: Oh and I used to hunt Wolf Spiders in CA in the fields with a BB gun.
