Thread 'Thundercat's doubleneck Ibanez.'

First, I am not the biggest Ibanez fan but I think their quality is great and they are available at very reasonable prices. But if Ibanez either released the Thundercat doubleneck or sold the 8 string version of his bass, I would buy it tomorrow. Aesthetically, this bass is beautiful and with the range of the 6 string and 8 string neck, a lot of sonic ground is covered. Probably Ibanez has not heard much feedback on this issue. Also I know that there are doubleneck posts on here but I just wanted to throw my two cents in.

Yep, it's a Schecter: he's now up on their website as an endorser of the Stiletto Studio-5.

If I was lucky enough to get a Nigel Tuffel Musicman, I wouldn't touch it, look it, or take any of the tags off it! But I would imagine the sustain.

My wife and I watched Spinal Tap: The End Continues tonight and we were both admiring Nigel's black sparkle Musicman Stingray, wondering what it is. I noticed it appears he has the same bass here, and this was from 2007.



I still would like to know where to find such a Stingray.

They should make a Nigel Tufnel signature model... especially if it's the pre-special preamp. I don't like signature basses, but I'd likely buy that one.

Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest) I believe has more or less, been a big supporter (dare I even say secret low key non-endorsed endorser) of EBMM. He actually had a super limited edition signature guitar way back in the Break Like The Wind days if I remember correctly...
